Amazing Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am redoing my kitchen and I replaced my 12 year old Thermador dishwasher that needed a new heating element with the Bosch Benchmark SHX9PCM5N. It is amazingly quiet, my dishes are spotless, and they are dry upon completion except for my coffee mugs that have a slightly concave bottom. I always use the Crystal Dry setting. I did not think I would like using the upper rack, but I use it all the time. All of the utinsels, blender bottle tops, etc are perfectly clean when the cycle is completed. I did not know I would like seeing the time left projected onto the floor, but I find it useful, especially because the dishwasher is so quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had the Benchmark series for about a month and so far I love it. It has so many features it's crazy. I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of having to connect to wifi for some of the features, but I also appreciate how cumbersome that would be to try to have it all be accessible on the machine itself. It's also pretty funny to get a message that your dishes are done going down the freeway 20 miles from home. I actually love the light inside. I thought it would be one of those superfluous features that I could take or leave but wow, what a difference it actually makes. I had a 300 series for over 10 years that still worked but was starting to lose some of its cleaning power, probably due to the hard water in our area. This thing cleans like a beast! And the dishes, when using rinse aid and crystal dry are very dry. Such an upgrade in every way from the 300. One negative is for the first week or so it had a very strong hot tar smell when it heated up during the cycle. I learned this is likely from the bitumen they use to encapsulate the body for soundproofing. It has dissipated, though still faintly there. My husband can't smell it at all. Still, a little troubling at first because I thought something was melting or on fire! Other than that, I'm super pleased with my purchase. 9/10 would buy again (loses a bit for the smell but not enough to keep me from buying it again).

At first, the price pushed me away-- but when you look carefully at both the features and conservation (water saver, energy saving) made this a value purchase. We love features like a water softener, lighting, phone app controls. Above all, one thing stands out--- my dishes look like new! They actually shine. We are pleased.

Quiet and Amazing Performance

Most of the time you can't tell that it is running without looking at the light display that appears on the floor because it is so quiet. This is a great dishwasher for a small space where you might be near the dishwasher while it is in operation. All of the components feel like they are high quality and I haven't had any complaints. I would recommend this dishwasher to anybody in need of a higher end dishwasher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using our Bosch Benchmark dishwasher for over 5 weeks now.
It is every bit as good as advertised. Pots and dishes come out clean EVERY time we unload the machine. ANND so much more dry and almost water spot free. The adjustible racks make fitting oversized pans (my wife bakes) easy too. Our previous diswasher was a GE model that was very quiet, but the Bosch easily tops the old dishwasher for sound suppression. If my wife programs it and shuts the door and I come in later, I have to open the door to see if it's running, because it is SOO SILENT.
My only not 100% positive comment concerns the 2nd rack (the one that holds glassware. When it is fully loaded with glasses, coffee mugs and sundry other dishware that fits there, it feels a little "shaky", like it's going to slip it's tracks. Now I've checked the fasteners and everything is tight and fitting correctly, and it has never sliopped it's tracks, but somehow it does not feel as firm and substantial as the rest of the components do.
If I had to purchase a 2nd dishwasher I would get another one of these!
