Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little powerhouse Really nice speaker. I had the last generation and left it on a golf cart :(. The conversion to USB-C is a welcome improvement. I think I like the new strap better but the jury is still out on that

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bose Micro 2 is a Great Portable Speaker I first bought a Sonos Roam for a portable speaker, it had great sound but the battery life was a disappointment. The Bose Soundlink Micro 2 has great sound and phenomenal battery life. When you consider the Sonos speaker cost almost twice as much as the Bose did, this is a no-brainer. The only negative I can mention is the Bose Micro weighs more, but I think that comes with the exceptional battery life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Worthy Upgrade I’ve had the first generation Micro since 2018. It’s been my go-to speaker for travel and its ruggedness has held up well, except for the strap breaking after 2 years of use. I had high expectations for this new generation, and after comparing the two, it has some pretty significant upgrades: 1. I really like the new strap. It’s easy to attach, holds well, and feels durable. 2. The new generation gets surprisingly loud. While the previous generation had a warm sound, this one is noticeably brighter and treble-forward. I wouldn’t be surprised if they used the same driver as the new SoundLink Plus. That being said, it sounds fantastic and clear. 3. It stands up by itself! I was surprised to see that the speaker can stand up vertically, which is a nice touch. It’s a little chunkier, and feels like it can take a tumble. Overall, I really appreciate the 2nd generation micro for its combination of portability, engineering, and most importantly sound quality. The brighter sound signature pairs well with my SoundLink Max, while being portable enough to bring anywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but mighty I had the first generation of the micro portable speaker but the 2nd generation is much better!! I love the fact that you can clip it on your bag. The sound is amazing as always. It’s small but mighty!! I use it in my car so I can listen to music from my phone and it sounds amazing and it’s small enough I can tuck it away while I’m parked and away from my car. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a small compact speaker with great sound!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big sound in small, portable speaker I have been using this speaker almost daily for over a month now and it has performed above and beyond my expectations. It is a small speaker but feels substantial - doesn't feel cheap or fragile. I actually dropped it on the pavement when I was using it outside at a tailgate and it didn't seem to phase it - not a scratch on it. The sound is high quality and it can get pretty loud with the volume turned up! It's easy to attach to chairs or can just lay on a flat surface. Overall I'm really happy - Bose didn't disappoint - another great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from big sound from a little package The Bose sound link speaker packs a big wallop in a small package. The sound is great and the volume more than other Bluetooth speakers I have used. The speaker's size and weight feel like it should deliver, and it does. I recommend this speaker; costly but worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great personal speaker This speaker has worked well for me in all kinds of situations. I really like that there is an equalizer in the app that makes it sound even more amazing! Definitely a step up from the previous generation. Would recommend to any and everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than ever! I received my 2nd generation speaker and charged it right away. The sound is AMAZING and not just for a speaker this size. I have the first generation, and the sound on my 2nd generation is more dynamic. I found everything about this generation to be more impressive than the first generation. Since nothing is perfect, my only complaint is I would like the charging cable to be integrated somehow. But since there aren't any others like that, this is no inconvenience. If you're questioning the power because of the size, don't! Just get it. This speaker may be small, but the sound is mighty. Mine travels with me on every trip. I love having music when I get ready in the morning in hotrls or wherever. And it's easy to pack or carry. Even in a purse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tiny, tough, and great for Zoom/Teams Bought the SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) for travel and it’s turned into my everyday desk speaker too. For something that clips to a backpack, the sound is warm with legit bass and clear mids—music and podcasts both sound better than they should at this size. The silicone strap is clutch for showers, bike rides, and hotel rooms. Work bonus: I use it during video meetings and interviews as my speaker. Voices on Zoom/Teams come through crisp and natural, so it’s easier to catch details and not ask people to repeat themselves. It switches from music to a call instantly, and I usually keep my mic on my laptop/earbuds while the Micro handles the output—great combo for clarity. USB-C charging is convenient, and it shrugs off spills. Caveats: battery is a full workday, not a weekend; and at max volume the bass eases off and things flatten a bit. Still, if you want a tiny, tough speaker that travels well and also makes work calls easier to hear, this one hits the sweet spot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Packs a punch! So impressive! Rich, clean, crisp sound and lots of boomy bass for such a compact BT speaker! USB C charging. Could be even better with Magnetic charging and strap. I’ve been using this to jam with some tunes on the guitar. I’m able to attach this to just about anything. Portability is great! Small enough for your desk, bathroom etc. Pairs to just about anything BT! Use it with your Apple TV or Mini IPad for a movie bedside!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bose is the Best I bought the first generation years ago and was very pleased with the sound quality - and the second generation is definitely an improvement. I love Bose products, especially the Ultra Open Earbuds, but I enjoy the speaker for times when I am not using the earbuds. It is easy to carry with me from room to room - kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, or outside! The sound from 1st generation was good, but the second generation sound is even better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pound for Pound- Awesome Performance The Micro has fantastic sound quality for its compact size. I have used other Bluetooth speakers for golf and camping and this packs the most performance per pound. Additionally, the battery life is quite impressive. I use other Bose products for less portable set-ups but the SoundLink Micro is a critical piece of my music arsenal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, powerful, bold and beautiful! Couldn’t wait for this to arrive! Kicks a punch for such a compact speaker! Great for all Bluetooth applications! As a guitarist of over 36 years I attach the speaker to my strap and jam along with my favorite tunes! Rugged, durable and don’t be afraid when it drops cause it keeps going strong. I use it for connecting to my Apple TV in a small bedroom space. It holds its own! Office space, deck, camper, backpack, candlelight dinners with your beautiful wife…

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Speaker Around the House and On the Go! This mini bluetooth speaker is GREAT for me around my apartment and on the go. My bathroom is far from my living room but this speaker makes listening to music in the shower and getting dressed super easy and convenient. The sound is incredible, and the bass is nicely calibrated, just like all other Bose products. I also took it on a short bike ride and it was like my own personal concert with me. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the new version! USB-C for the win! I previously owned the first generation and I am so glad with the improvements on this version. I love that it has USB-C since I travel a lot so I prefer to just keep the amount of cables down. I feel that the design is rugged enough to be thrown around in my bag while travelling. The best part is the fact I can use it in the shower or at the pool. I really like the size, however the only issue/recommendation I have is that the strap that it has is not always long enough for my purposes. I would love to be able to wrap it around the shower curtain rail or something like that. I also wish that the bottom of the speaker had a stand or something since I don’t like to lay it down. The sound is still good but I just lean it up against the shower wall or a bottle to get the best effect. I also have the Bose Soundlink Max, so when I am in the pool or party I love to connect them so that we have the same music coming from different sources. I love the seamless connection and I do have to say for such a small speak the noise quality is excellent. I listen to a range of music and love that you can change the EQ through the app. The app isn’t always my favourite to use but it makes it easy to connect. I think that this product is great, it is a bit bigger than my JBL waterproof speak and the noise quality is much better than my old Braven speaker. I really prefer to use this. If you’re on the fence, I really recommend this product especially if you travel or like to listen to music in “not-dry” conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ROCK OUT IN THE SHOWER THE SOUND!!!! I have come to expect a lot from Bose and the SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) meets and even exceeds those expectations. I am a true music lover and have to have it around me at all times. And that's the one I most love about this unit - I can use it while in the shower. And the best part, there is no difference in sound quality when either wet or dry. Phenomenal, rich, and full sound ALL the time. It easily connects to any device without a hiccup and the battery life is out of this world. It is truly a great product. If I had to change one thing, it would be the strap. I am not a fan of it - I have the 1st Gen Micro and I feel like I can maneuver it a bit easier than the new strap. However, the new strap is longer than the original, so I feel that will come in handy when we're at the beach and want to attach it to an umbrella post.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen Refined Boosted & Enhanced I received my SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen speaker about a month ago and let me start off by saying it has been revamped and exponentially enhanced when compared to its predecessor. The most notable physical design improvement would have to be the ruggedized and replaceable strap that allow the speaker to be placed just about anywhere from bike handlebars to the shower. The sound quality and customization capabilities are light years beyond the original. Lastly, the enhanced connectivity and battery life make this the premier portable and budget friendly speaker that is ready for just about anything. I highly recommend this speaker!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Portable Speaker! I love this thing - My wife and I were recently in the hospital for the birth of our daughter and had a lot of time while tests were done and the like. we used it for nearly three full days off and on to watch movies on my tablet, and it was perfect. it sounded great, had an excellent battery life, and connected quickly - if I had one nitpick - I wish it had a microphone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little speaker. Great little speaker with outstanding sound quality. Easy to set up and connect to a phone right out of the box. The updated strap from the first generation allows for secure attachment to a variety of locations and items - I personally attached a carabiner to the strap to make it easier to attach to my backpack. Highly recommend this great little speaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Speaker I've had this speaker for a few weeks now and can say that this speaker sounds stupendous considering the size. It is primarily made as a personal speaker. The loudness is pretty astounding considering how small and lightweight this speaker is. It is less than a pound. I have notice I personally like to listen to the speaker on its back vs having it stand upright. When it is on its back, it increases the bass with whatever you are placing it on. Portability is great, fits in my pocket. I use it to watch videos on my computer and the audio comes out crystal clear. The battery life is good considering how lightweight this speaker is as well. Connectivity was a little sketchy in the beginning as for some reason pairing was not saving to my phone. That has since been rectified however I'm not sure exactly how I fixed it. From hip hop music to 70s classic rock, I am enjoying the clarity in this speaker. All in all, I give this speaker a 5 out of 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1st Gen was great, 2nd Gen is in another level. Bought the sound link micro Gen 1 and had it for more than a year and nothing but good vibes with it. Now Gen 2 is out and knew I had to get and I did. Sold my old one and got this one and both units are solid. Better bass on Gen 2, app customization is a plus and its size it’s still great. If you want the best Bose knows how to do the job right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small Speaker, Big Sound The Mini BT Speaker has a powerful punch! It's compact but you wouldn't know it if you weren't looking at it. Great for college, if you're on the move, or small room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gen 2 Micro SoundLink I actually have two of the Gen 1 Micro Soundlink speakers, so when they asked if I wanted to try the new one, of course I said yes! The first thing I noticed is that it is slightly larger. The strap is completely different, instead then the tight silicone strap that just unsnaps and snaps (with effort) once wrapped around anything, it is now a webbed strap that feeds through and loops back around, securing with velcro. While this does give more options of things you can secure it to, it is harder to get a snug fit, and the silicone strips on the back of the strap are ineffective in keeping it from sliding out of position, and rethreading the strap into the slot is challenging if you have stiff fingers. The old silicone strap had more give after repeated uses, which ultimately makes it pop open too easily if not strapped to something. I had found the perfect spot to strap the old one to and the new strap does not hold it as securely and often migrates / pivots instead of staying put like the old strap did. The button configuration has also changed, and I have mixed feelings, as they have inverted the power and Bluetooth buttons, and I had gotten used to the old placement. The buttons on top are completely different, and are labeled clearly, which might be the best change the buttons have, as it is more functional. There are now two small lights to indicate power and connection, with both staying on while in use. The power pulses during charging and stops and stays on when fully charged, vs the four lights that indicate power on the first version, which do not stay lit when in use. I use this speaker mostly at night, so I preferred the single light during use which was easier to block, and the placement of the second light, which is also the bluetooth indicator, is on the top, and not easy to block at night. The power announcement is brief on the new one, which I appreciate because, having it talk so long when turning on at bedtime was disruptive, so this is better, and not quite as loud. The battery itself has a longer life and holds charge better and longer, which is the best improvement by far. I no longer have to charge daily, and it uses 10% per night on average (to keep it playing all night long) so I can go several days between charging which is fantastic. I also like that it is now a USB-C input instead of the micro USB for charging. Overall, the new generation is an improvement and I really like the new version. I miss the old strap, for my purposes, but on the whole, the new version is pretty great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Powerful Little Thing! I received this speaker as a gift. It's a powerful little thing! The sound is amazing with just the right amount of bass. It's compact, but don't let the size fool you!
