[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This AC came packaged very securely. I live in a house with one wall unit in the living room so it’s really hard to cool off the bedrooms. It cools off a medium sized bedroom decently well, but anything larger would be pushing the limits. I love that it has a remote included so you can change it from your bed. It was easy enough to install given my husband is handy, but someone with no knowledge might struggle a little bit.

Cools!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Influenster and Friedrich in exchange for my honest review. Wow! This came at perfect timing for this hot Texas summer. I have a two story house with an open floor plan. The upstairs doesn’t get cool enough though. I had a friend help me install this in the window upstairs of my media room which is an open loft to the downstairs. It’s helped cool off the hot air that rises upstairs and hasn’t t raised my electric bill too much since I’m not overworking my central air. Sometimes you just need a little extra A/C help and this did the trick. Awesome A/C! The price is very affordable too!

Simple and cool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does it's job well and efficient, cools the room without any additional noise. There is no smell, just cool air. Worth every penny and much better than any basic store brand (which we had for years...will necer go back). It was a bit much to install the window brackets (for the extra support). They instructed you to literally remove the machine from the shell, which was wild. Thankfully my husband is extremely handy so it only took 30 minutes to install, so beware you may need help with that. Other than that there are no negative complaints. I really like how it connects to wifi so I can turn it on and cool or just remove humidity from anywhere. The remote is an added bonus too!

Great Unit!
So far it s an excellent unit. Thermostat actually works to turn unit on and off in money saver mode compared to last unit with american name owned by chinese company which failed due to electronics in three years. Worth the extra cost compared to lower priced units. Highly recommend based on unit running almost every day for a month due to high humidity and warm temps

Quiet and efficient wall a/c unit
Powerful and quiet wall a/c unit. It cools quickly and efficiently. Easy to use. Has WiFi option. Friedrich has great customer support with an 800 number. They helped me choose the correct model and BTU’s to replace an old unit that died. Bought this unit at PCRichards. They have great support too and service plans.

Super cool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Friedrich window unit air conditioner is wonderful. Our sun room was an add on, so it does not get any of the central air, and this was just the thing to make that room better in the summer. It is powerful, easy to use (the remote control is great!), and very sleek looking. Installing it in the window got a little tricky because of the way our still is, but there was enough included insulation to make it work. All in all, it is amazing!

Does what it should.
Works well. Cools my entire 1st floor quickly and is pretty quiet compared to my older version. The remote doesn't light up so hard to see in low light. They changed the diameter from the older style this replaced. Its not a direct fit so the installers had to trim out an ectra inch.

How far the air conditioner is good just need to figure out all the new gadgets especially the remote and the hook up to online Bluetooth. I wish model number or serial number so I can register do unit with Fredericks. I do have the five year warranty on it through PC, Richard and son.

Loss of settings
I've had this unit for about a year and every time I use the remote to turn it on my settings change. It goes into money saver mode and the fan speed goes back to auto. It's even sets the temperature to 72 when I have it set at 61. It's works well but I have to change the settings all the time. ? Other than that I like the unit.

shocking fail!
this unit replaced the identical unit that was purchased less than two years ago. unit stopped blowing cold air and without an extended warranty, i had to try to find an hvac tech that services window/wall units. very hard to find. pc richard installers would not install any other unit that was smaller by i believe an inch and a half. didn't have time to try to find an installer so had to get the same unit. hoping the manuf. warranty covers it. hard to find someone to diagnose what the problem is. when unit works, it's great. never expected this from friedrich. purchased the 5-year ext warranty this time....

makes loud clanking sounds called service they said thats the way its supposed to sound ive owned air conditioners for over 50 years and not one ever sounded this bad do noyt buy
