[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This AC came packaged very securely. I live in a house with one wall unit in the living room so it’s really hard to cool off the bedrooms. It cools off a medium sized bedroom decently well, but anything larger would be pushing the limits. I love that it has a remote included so you can change it from your bed. It was easy enough to install given my husband is handy, but someone with no knowledge might struggle a little bit.

Cools!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Influenster and Friedrich in exchange for my honest review. Wow! This came at perfect timing for this hot Texas summer. I have a two story house with an open floor plan. The upstairs doesn’t get cool enough though. I had a friend help me install this in the window upstairs of my media room which is an open loft to the downstairs. It’s helped cool off the hot air that rises upstairs and hasn’t t raised my electric bill too much since I’m not overworking my central air. Sometimes you just need a little extra A/C help and this did the trick. Awesome A/C! The price is very affordable too!

Simple and cool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does it's job well and efficient, cools the room without any additional noise. There is no smell, just cool air. Worth every penny and much better than any basic store brand (which we had for years...will necer go back). It was a bit much to install the window brackets (for the extra support). They instructed you to literally remove the machine from the shell, which was wild. Thankfully my husband is extremely handy so it only took 30 minutes to install, so beware you may need help with that. Other than that there are no negative complaints. I really like how it connects to wifi so I can turn it on and cool or just remove humidity from anywhere. The remote is an added bonus too!

Cools fast
Cools fast purchased to replace an old ac that cooled the entire downstairs of our house (4 rooms). This cooled the house quickly and has never been cooler! The ac is loud but is in a room that your not sitting by it. I did purchase a smaller version for my bedroom which it cools great but is very loud for a bedroom.

Super cool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Friedrich window unit air conditioner is wonderful. Our sun room was an add on, so it does not get any of the central air, and this was just the thing to make that room better in the summer. It is powerful, easy to use (the remote control is great!), and very sleek looking. Installing it in the window got a little tricky because of the way our still is, but there was enough included insulation to make it work. All in all, it is amazing!

Cools perfect but the WIFI is unfunctional
I have a love/hate relationship with this AC. It cools perfectly fine but it's not as quiet as I would like. Also, I cannot get the WIFI feature to work. I've tried calling Friedrich's helpline multiple times but can't get through to anyone. Also left my cell for a callback number, but have never received a call back. Very frustrating, especially when it's a feature that I wanted to utilize.

Great A/C, despite problem with the control panel
The anchor for the control panel was broken when we received the new A/C. We called customer service and the technician ordered a new front panel for the unit. We are awaiting the free replacement as it’s under warranty. We own three Friedrich models and they are excellent A/Cs.

Awful!!!
We bought the 8k and 12k. Had to return 12k 1x because stopped working. First 8k stopped working after 1 yr. Got a replacement in May. It stopped blowing cold air just 3 months later. The ac's are also very loud despite being represented as quiet. They are also no where as cold as the old freidrichs we still have. Switching brands going forward.

Horrible product and customer service
In just over 1 year the air conditioner didn’t blow cold air. Of course warranty ended in 1 year. Attempted to have it serviced however unable to find any company that serviced Fredrich or wall air conditioners. Finally found .one but was told they couldn’t service it for over 2 weeks. In the Interim purchased a new air conditioner with an extended warranty to avoid this happening again. Tried contacting Friedrich by phone and email but got no response.

DON’T BUY FRIEDRICH.
I purchased this air conditioner a month ago. The front panel was defective. It was supposed to be replaced quickly by Friedrich. It is now one month later and not only does Friedrich have no information on the replacement part, the service people are likewise in the dark. I would not recommend a Friedrich air conditioner to anybody and we own three of them so that is saying a lot. This has been frustrating and a big waste of time. Buy another brand.
