Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid piece of equipment, does what it needs to... Great PC Richard purchasing and product support, the A/C unit is as-described and identical to another one that I have. It replaced a 40+ year old analog in-wall unit. I'm just using it for the basic function: A/C with preset temp. and auto-mode for fan. The WiFi/remote/LCD have their quirks from what I've seen, so I'm just keeping in simple for now... It is pricier than others on the market, but I am hoping for longevity and durability with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Friedrich WallMaster Series through-the-wall AC Great air conditioner! Cools quickly and is very quite! Looks great. I am recommending this AC unit to the entire Blue Ridge Manor Condo association.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fine Air Conditioner with problematic Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is extremely difficult to get working, I gave up. If you are looking for Wi-Fi look elsewhere. I did it properly and Friedrich was helpful when I called. The app just doesn’t see the unit. Aside from that it is much quieter than the older models and so far is working fine. I have had a few Friedrich AC’s over the years. I would say they last about 8 years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Air This is a sleeve air conditioner located at the top of my ceiling in my living room. I am not able to view the settings even on a ladder. The remote control also does not have the temperature of the settings. On a unit that is located on the wall, the temperature reading on the remote control would have been super helpful. I set the temperature and leave it since I am not able to view it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice AC The first unit didn’t blow too well and it didn’t feel much better than fan, but the second one that they swapped it out for works perfectly. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to hit the power button twice to turn it off and twice to turn it on, If you do not do that then you will jam the whole thing up and you will have to unplug it and restart it again. But overall it works well

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It cools and it's not too noisy. Cools nicely and is comparitively quiet, especially when cycling off in the econo mode. The unit itself is rather large and, I think, made for installation beneath a window. Control panel is angled upwards so i need a step stool to use it as my only placement option was next to a window and above my line of vision. WIFI connection has yet to be successful and I don't have high hopes of ever connecting. Front panel was almost impossible for me to remove. The video i found made it look simple but I had to resort to a hammer and dishtowel to get it off. My chief complaint is with the documentation for the unit. It was insufficient to say the least and inaccurate in places. I looked for supplementary material on the Friedrich site and that helped a little. The step by step instructions for connecting to wifi was availabe there, but as mentioned, did not work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Satisfied This machine is very quite, it does the job pretty good , i lovevghe way it looks , clean lines, air vents blow upward which make it comfortable to set near it. I am very pleased!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Controls on top facing celing The controls and remote sensor is on the top. My a/c is above 6 ft which makes it impossible to control

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok AC but no wifi as advertised. AC works well. Does not have wifi as advertised. Trying to contract Friedrich for support, but hold time are very long and they are only available during the day. No evening support available and they have not responded to my email request for help.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boooooooo!Buyer Beware! Not a good ac at all. The drip pan is always full of water and barely drains! Would not recommend. I would buy a portable ac in the future and you need to buy an extended warranty bc I’ve read it was problematic after a year and expensive to fix. Buyer beware don’t buy this piece of junk not worth the money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't Buy it for the wifi I bought this for wifi but I still haven't gotten the wifi working and I've had to called customer service twice. The ac is fine on it's own but the "extra" features are poorly implemented and it has a bizarre non-intuitive control panel and literal hidden buttons. The instruction manual is useless.

Has anyone been successful in getting the wifi connection to work?

Asked by: CoolerthanB4
These directions worked on the first try. I tried the other directions probably 50 times with zero luck. It connects sometimes. It sees it but the unit doesn’t always respond when you make a change. Sometimes it does. 🤷‍♂️. Better than nothing I guess. It has a scheduler which I have not tried. Some graphs with zero explanation lol.  Unfortunately this 18 month old unit blew a controller board and it was $500 to fix. Unbelievable 🤦‍♂️

I had it off all winter and now I cannot turn it on. The power lights up but there is nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Asked by: Edward
To turn the A/C on, you should press the power button on the remote control twice. The other option may be to unplug the power cable & plug in again.
