Great unit, confusing mobile app setup
Great AC. Easy hook up, sleek modern look, cools well, offers a sleep mode, and is very quiet compared to previous portable AC units we've had. Also, it sips electricity at ~6 amps, which is extremely important for our home.
Setting up the mobile app was confusing because the AC unit did not default to the "CF" connection mode as written in the documentation. I had to use the alternate "AP" connection mode. After figuring that out, everything else was easy.
As an aside, the copy editing on the documentation was rather horrible, as if it was written in another language and then auto-translated to English. It was quite a jarring contrast to the overall fit and finish of the unit. All in all, we are quite happy with this purchase.

Great dehumidifier option!
We were looking for a dehumidifier that could be vented outside through a window since we do not have a sink in the basement. This unit has both an air conditioner and dehumidifier option with the attachment to do this. It is quiet and works well. I will have to say the remote is confusing, but otherwise we are happy with this product.

The Best Portable Air Conditioner on the Market
I was looking for a Friedrich Air Conditioner that I could move from room to room with no problems. This product fits all my needs, Easy to install and very quiet. I just set it to the temperature I want and it efficiently keeps the room a that temperature.

Pleasantly surprised
Used to have a window a/c in my son’s room but just replaced the window and it doesn’t open enough to fit the a/c. Purchased this portable a/c and so far I’m pleasantly surprised at how it cools off the 12’ x 14’ room.

Great a/c
We love this a/c for our toddler's room because we can gate it off and the buttons on top are not as inviting to press. BUT he can still do it if he wants and sometimes turns it off. However, the ability to control via WiFi is huge and makes up for that. The only down side is that changing settings always makes a beep and I worry it will wake him up if I change when he's already asleep. It cools the room incredibly well though and the installation was not harder than expected.

Very easy to install, was able to cut window panel was a hack saw. Cools the room down quickly and doesn't take up too much space. It is a bit louder than my previous 8000 BTU window unit, but that's not a deal breaker.
My biggest concern is that the end of the hose doesn't have any kind of screen or grate on it, so I've already had to evict one little bird from the hose! Was able to solve the problem by slipping a mesh produce bag over the end, but that won't keep out bugs. Huge mistake on Friedrich's part!

Don't buy it
I was extremely unhappy with this air conditioner. Unlike the Frigidaire that I have, this one does not get rid of the humidity so I had to run a dehumidifier at the same time in fact you get condensation all around the top of the unit. I don't like the constant shut off turn on shut off turn on it kept me in an uneasy sleep. So I don't recommend this unit at all and I'm sorry I bought it. However I would buy my Frigidaire again.

Don't buy
I blame myself for not doing my homework before purchasing, not one but two of these worthless machines. You pay for the convenience not the quality. I will never recommend this product. I'll upgrade to a duckless unit next summer.
