Bang on!
I have had this in my cooling my bedroom suite for a little over five years. I appreciate this air-conditioning unit simply because It does what Frigidaire says it will do. During the warmer months, the unit works nonstop. During the cooler months, I still run it as a fan. The filter is very easy to clean. The timer is convenient for when I leave for the day, I can set it so when I come home, It has my bedroom at the desired temperature.
The troubleshooting guide is bang on. Very happy with his purchase.

Beast of an Window AC Unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This window air conditioner is expensive but since there are so few units designed for horizontal sliding windows and I was tired of melting during this summer, I thought I would go for it. This thing works so well that I was asking myself why I didn't purchase it last summer. It's built like a tank (and weighs like one) and it pumps out cool air in a hurry. It's located on one side of my ranch style house and it cools half the entire house (open floorplan) in 15-20 minutes. If I were to install a second unit on the opposite side of the house, I would be able to cool the entire house in no time.
Don't expect a whisper-quiet machine since this thing is loud - the lower settings do help to lower the noise but regardless of the setting, it's still noisy. I would consider this a minor tradeoff for being cool during the dog days of summer.
I paid a handyman to install it since the instructions are poorly written and I just didn't feel like laboring over it. You'll need another person to help lift it into the window opening.
The only gripe I have is with the window insert since it's not very tall so if the height of your window opening is greater than 21.5 inches, you'll have to create an additional insert since the plastic window panel is not tall enough to fill another over this. Frigidaire really needs to offer aftermarket inserts for horizontal sliding windows since the height of horizontal slider windows can be tall and their solution just doesn't cut it. Now I have to go through the hassle of finding or making a custom insert.

Finally, the AC unit I've been looking for.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's always a battle to get ACs designed for vertically opening windows to fit and work in sliding windows. I discovered the older model of this unit a couple years ago but held out on getting it. I finally gave in after I couldn't find anything else that works how I want and wish I'd just pick this one up when I first found it. Glad I got the newer model though as it's quiet and has some nice additional features. I noticed some local stores also carried it, but for a much higher cost than just ordering directly from Frigidaire. Will more than likely get another one in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So happy this casement style AC Unit is available to buy in the US! The dimensions of this unit are perfect for our kitchen window. It is very powerful & cools most of our kitchen & living room, on the low setting! Also really like the option to open/close the venting. It's very useful when cooking as our home does not have an exhaust fan for our oven. The mounting instructions & equipment are great & it was easy to install. We are considering switching out our other window AC units with this casement style as our windows open horizontally in our home. Great product definitely recommend to buy!

Just as powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this little guy at the beginning of June to cool the living room; I live on the top floor of a house, which makes it prone to trapping all of the heat rising from below. It was even able to keep the hallway, kitchen and bathroom cool (which out of the ACs direct path). Easy to install (only needed assistance to place it in window) and easy to follow instructions. Best summer purchase.

Nice and Cool!

We put in a 10 x10 insulated sunroom on the west side of our house many years ago, but it gets too hot. This particular model was the only one we could find that would fit the windows in the room. We added this window AC this summer, and it makes a MAJOR difference! It even gets TOO COLD sometimes and we need to change the temperature setting. We paid an installer, which almost doubled the cost, but we are happy campers!

Super chilled!

We have been getting record heat at 104-108 and without this unit we would be hurting. Install is very straightforward and the unit has many cool features like econo mode, remote control, timer. The main thing is that this keeps a 350 sq ft room with no insulation nice and cool. It is very quiet compared to our old one and the price was right.

Cools great and doesn't take up a lot of interior space

It works very well, and was one of the only ones I could find that would fit my casement windows. I would have liked a slightly higher BTU version, but this one has been able to keep up wit the heat gain in my 12'*20'*15' shed. Hopefully it lasts for many years to come!

It comes with all the things you need to install it. The window gap panel was about a half inch short but my husband was able to fix that. It cools the room down very quickly, the noise level is very low. We gave it in our aquarium room so the dehumidifier feature is great.

A Life Saver!

Keeps room cold even in very hot & humid conditions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hesitant because it is not your traditional window air conditioner. The measurements were dead on, and it fit in the wall perfectly. The unit comes with a remote control that does absolutely everything so I don't have to reach up or even leave my seat! The controls offer many setting choices which is nice because when it gets too chilly we can lower the fan or increase the temperature. My favorite feature is the ability to set a timer so the air conditioner turns on an hour before I get into my office to cool it off without it running all night. No regrets!
