It is an upgrade to my previous upright frost free Frigidaire deep freezer that lasted over 25 years. I replaced it because I needed more space and wanted the light. Those 2 requirements have been successfully matched. One word of caution, make sure the freezer is closed all the way, the items that were previously on the door shelves thawed quickly. My 10 year old didn't pay attention to closing it and this freezer doesn't alert that the door is open, the light just cuts off. Thankfully only ice cream snacks and Popsicles were impacted. Some reviews mention the basket being an issue, but that has not been a problem. We checked this feature with the store model before purchasing online. We keep ice packs and bags of ice in the bin. You just have to make sure the bottom door shelf and the items in the bin don't prevent the freezer door from closing. We apologize for the clutter, we had to hurry and move items from coolers to the new freezer when the exchange took place! :) Overall, we are happy and hope we can get 20+ years from this new deep freezer.

It got up down to temperature in about a day and a half. It looks beautiful and is very quiet. The door was tough to open empty but once full it opened quite easily. It does hold a large amount of food. We utilized the two baskets from our old freezer to help with the smaller items. The door holds a lot of food as well. All in all a great purchase to replace our old one from 2004! Looking forward to update further in the future.
