So far, so good!
It’s beautiful and works perfectly 😊 I can’t live without this one of a kind speedy microwave…the GE1.6 cu ft countertop microwave oven is AMAZING AWESOME AND THE BEST!! I hope this one last longer than the one (won’t name the brand) I had before, it actually blew up!! Y’all have a great day and YES, I would recommend this appliance 🩷

Awesome microwave!!
So much better than my last microwave! Less wattage, but seems like it cooks faster. Smaller capacity than my old one, but it's perfect! Foods defrost perfectly on the defrost cycle too!

Compact, Powerful, Reliable!
We bought the previous generation of this model 14 years ago. It worked perfectly all that time until experiencing sudden death. We’re grateful GE is still making it because it fits perfectly into our space, and have been impressed with its reliability. It’s compact but powerful. It reheats, cooks, defrosts exactly as desired every time. It’s a countertop model we use as a “built-in”. They’ve added a child safety latch that we’ve disabled because it’s not needed in our household, but it’s a great feature for families with small children.

Great Oven
It's a great microwave and works really well. Ease of use is simplistic and straight forward. One complaint...in this day and age the door opener and closer could be more up to date with the times. This system of door lock has been around since I worked in a steel mill.

Perfect fit to replace an older built-in microwave
This GE model GCST16S1W1SS exactly fit the built-in cabinet for our 10 year old Whirlpool microwave, and it even fit perfectly into the old trim panel and the support bracket. Even the holes on the bottom of the new microwave fit exactly into the holes on the old support bracket. It made switching out the old microwave a breeze! We are so glad this product was available. It functions just fine and the whole cost was so much less than other options.

Great powerful countertop/shelf microwave
Love this microwave! The 1150 watts is absolutely awesome!! Purchased it while kitchen is being remodeled, needed a countertop microwave because our old one was over the range. That one is 1000 watts. Will not go back to using the old one, gave it away and I am having our cabinet maker build a shelf for this new one in the new kitchen.

Good microwave, but turn off child lock feature
I bought the microwave for its size, it has good power for reheating food, my only reservation was the child lock door, but once you turn that off , the microwave is great.

New microwave
I like this model; however, this same one that I bought 2 years ago had to be replaced because the magnetron failed. I bought that one from the same company and they recommended that I buy a new one. I think that having to buy a new one every 2 years is excessive but I like the brand and how it functions so I am willing to give it another try.

Even though we haven't technically used this microwave yet, we had a GE microwave before and were very happy with it. I don't expect less of GE products and this microwave is just bigger and better - larger and more wattage.

Nice Microwave
It seems well made, for example the door button and door hinges seem sturdy unlike other brands we considered. My only gripe is the keypad fonts are gray on a black background, not offering much contrast, so hard to see in low light. These fonts would be better if they were white.

Easy to run.
We love our new Microwave as it is easy to use. It replaced our older GE which was over 20 years old. One suggestion that would make the machine perfect: allow the panel controls to light up as the clock does.

Replaces a GE Old Reliable
This GE is virtually identical to a GE Microwave I bought over 20 year ago and that is why I bought it. My 20 year old finally bit the dust, no power. I was used to the way the buttons worked and was pleased to see newer models are virtually identical. Plus I was impressed that an appliance I used daily lasted 20 years, so I believe GE earned the right for a second purchase and I hope I get another 20 years.

We have only used the microwave a couple of times but so far it seems to work well. Not a fan of the auto lock though. Wish there was a way to disable that.

Panel lighting too dim
Read-out of time and options on front panel are so dim we have to use a flashlight to see them. Very disappointed that GE did not take into consideration that seniors have degrading eyesight.
