Perfect fit

Love it. It is compact in size yet handle a mega load with no problem. Many practical cycles to choose from. Does a great job on any chosen cycle. Glad we got it.

Satisfied with purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since we had a lot of laundry piled up the dryer got a workout. It performed well and we are satisfied. The only problem is we would have liked to have a cutoff switch for the timer. The washer and dryer are located on the bedroom floor of out townhouse and it can be quite annoying.

Fits right in
We have limited space and very few options for a dryer that will fit. We weren't optimistic about the dryer but I have to say we are pleasantly surprised. It is spacious and very efficient. Clothes come out very fluffy and barely need ironing.

It's very poorly made garbage
I'm not a fan of the dryer but we have limited space since it is in an enclosed area, so can't get a bigger better model. The buzzer at the end is beyond obnoxious and I feel it is very cheaply made. The timer should be digital.

New Dryer, Higher Price, Lacks Quality
The machine does the job. Our older dryer was made with better quality materials & was built better overall. The door on the new appliance doesn’t lock in place as firmly as it should. It feels cheaply made.

Runs a Very Long Time and Buzzes Loudly
It takes a very long time to complete a cycle. At first I thought my exhaust line was clogged, so I had it professionally cleaned. Unfortunately it didn’t make much of a difference.
Also, I wish there was an option to turn off the annoying buzzer that sounds repeatedly at the end of each cycle. It is very loud and unnecessary.

The Sensor is Too Loud.
This product works as expected, however the sensor is entirely too loud. The fact that there is no option to lower the volume or turn off the sensor is a real negative for me. My laundry space is limited and this model is one of the few that fit in that space. I should have the option to turn this sensor off or lower the volume. I have to run this when people are not sleeping. Good luck if you want quiet for a sleeping baby. I'm pretty sure that if I put wet laundry in, I will remember to take it out. How about just a "done" light or something less intrusive in our home?

The buzzer is WAY too loud!!!
Had it about a month. Seems to work great. HOWEVER!!!! How in the world can I make the buzzer stop buzzing so loudly multiple times at the end of each load. I live in a two-family house and it literally wakes the neighbor, limiting when I can do laundry.

Does not Match and No Light
This was suppose to match the GTW465ASNWW GE washer. It does not the control panel has a dark gray background while the supposed matching washer has a silver control panel. They look poor together. Also, this is the first dryer I've seen in my over 65 years of experience that does not have an interior light. Just like a cheap car. Never again GE.

So far, not so good. I purchased this GE product because my last GE dryer lasted 15 good years. This model does not dry that well except on high heat, on the other settings the drying capabilities are poor. The door needs to be pushed hard or even slammed to close. I am afraid I will break the door. The reason I didn't purchase a higher model is because this was the largest one that would fit in my basement. I am hoping 15 years from now I'm eating my words on this product, and I purchase another GE dryer.

GE 27" dryer
The low rating is mostly due to poor customer service. The dryer that was delivered to me did NOT work. I made repeated trips to the store. They finally arranged a service call (I had to wait a week) only to find out the wrong address was put on the job order. Finally a customer service rep was able to get the dryer replaced, another week later. And I was right...there was something wrong with it. The other problem is a design issue, the lint screen is really small. It fills up about halfway through the dry cycle. I have to stop the dryer, clean the screen and then continue the drying.
