Never again will have sour smelling clothes that sat in the washer before they were transfered to the dryer in my old set. Never have to change my schedule to be home to transfer clothes from the washer to dryer like with my old set. Very happy with the strength, quality, and efficiency of this smart machine. It took forever for the clothes to dry, if they ever did. Our current laundry room is very small, so we decided to have more space we would bite the bullet and buy one. I am so impressed with this machine. It doesn't take any longer to do a load of laundry than it did with my 2 machines. In fact, it's shorter because this combo machine doesn't forget to move them from one machine to the other. It's great not to have to figure out how much detergent to use. The machine is quiet and best of all it only takes up half the space of 2 machines. There are so many bonus features as well. I tried the delayed start, which allowed me to start the machine when the electric rates are lower overnight. Everything comes out clean and fresh. There has never been an issue with the clothes being damp when the cycle is done. I love this machine and I'm so happy we bought it.

It saves a ton of space and I love that I could block off the hole leading to the hot Texas summer outside. There is a touch of dampness for the first few seconds you remove a towl or blanket but it isn't bothersome at all. It is 5 stars, but it isn't perfect. It can be a bit loud during the washing cycle so it may not be great if you have your washer near the family room. We keep the laundry room door closed and it is fine. The dryer is SUPER quiet which was the opposite of our traditional Washer/Dryer setup. I also took the extra step of putting weather stripping around the filter (see numerous youtub videos) to help prevent lint from getting into the coils. While regularly cleaning the coils would maintain the unit just as well, I'm lazy so a small amount of effort up front will help maintain the longevity of the investment.

We do a lot of laundry (4 kids) and this unit is a game changer as it saves us on time, laundry soap (due to high efficiency) and effort. Thank you, GE!

How long is the extension cord

The power cord from the machine is a standard length. About 6 foot. My outlet is near the top of the machine and a foot to the right. The cord reaches with ease.
