This 22.6 cu ft. side-by-side refrigerator features the Preserva Food Care System. Its two independent cooling systems help keep food fresh while the FreshFlow Air Filter minimizes odors, and the Produce Preserver delays over-ripening. The counter-depth design gives the high-end look of built-in refrigerators and the PrintShield Finish resists fingerprints and smudges on the stainless exterior.

PrintShield Finish
resists smudges and fingerprints. The specialized coating for stainless steel is easy to clean with just water and a soft cloth, so you can spend more time cooking and less time cleaning up.
LED lighting
uses less energy than incandescent bulbs. Multiple lights are purposefully placed throughout the refrigerator and freezer, making it easy to find items at a glance.
In-Door-Ice System
adds interior room in the refrigerator with an ice bin that mounts on the inside left door to allow for extra space on the shelves.

Measured Water Fill
Displays and automatically dispenses water in ounces, cups or liters. You can choose from three programmed settings to pour a measured amount. Plus, two custom presets can be programmed for items you frequently fill like a coffee pot or water bottle.

provides quick and easy access to chilled water and ice.
Clear Door Bins with Metallic Accents
allow you to see labels right through the bins, giving you visibility and easy access to your condiments and other items. Each bin is removable, making them perfect for carrying items to the counter.
Sabbath Mode (Star-K Certified)
This KitchenAid Refrigerator is endorsed by STAR-K Kosher Certification for use on the Jewish Sabbath and other religious holidays. Turning on Sabbath Mode disables the refrigerator's automatic lights and alarm tones.

Excellent Refrigerator But With One Drawback

Enjoy all the new features plus the filtered water and ice have a refreshing and healthy taste. However, I feel the drawers on this new refrigerator need improving. They do not slide very easily and appear to slightly inferior to the rest of the refrigerator features. Other than the drawers, I absolutely love my new stainless steel kitchen appliance!

For me it’s all the FEATURES, DESIGN and SPACE! It’s super important for organization! I’m a family of five and don’t like clutter, with how spacious the fridge is it allows you to keep everything neat and clean. I can’t forget the bright lighting on the inside and touch screen setting panel which is definitely a plus! You can’t go wrong with selecting a KITCHEN AID, it’s worth every cent!

Good Quality Refrigerator

The fact that the ice cubes are not half moon makes me very happy. I don't have to crawl on the floor to change the filter which is where it was located on my old KitchenAid Refrigerator that I had for 30 years!

The exterior does not show fingerprints and it is easy to open and close. The inside is roomy (we added one more shelve ) and provides us with the storage we need. Shelves are sturdy and love that side shelves are made of glass which makes them more durable.

There could have been one more door shelf to make it perfect. but other than that it organizes well for max storage. Ice maker is great! It switches from cube to crushed without a blink. The measured water flow is very convenient, but not so accurate, it would be nice if it could be calibrated (at 3.5 cups it pours 4). Size and fit were perfect! and doors open nicely without contact to adjoining cabinets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife was worried about some of the bad reviews. I told her I trust KitchenAid, owned their products all my life including the refrigerator we bought this one to replace.
My wife now says this is the best buy we made in years.
Our old KitchenAid was little bit bigger as war as spec, I think maybe 23.1 cu ft.
But this guy seems like it has twice the room inside.
Absolutely fantastic fridge.
If it fits your needs, just buy it.

Looks fantastic!

My concern is that I am replacing an earlier version of the same and that one lasted just over 10 years. The fridge is in a second home, gets regular use, not excessive, so I was surprised that it died so relatively young and I did expect that it would have lasted longer. Time will tell how this one performs in the long term. For the moment I am enjoying it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I guess the best thing I can say is I would buy this one again. It holds a lot, more than expected, no issues with all the holiday food. Looks very attractive, lots of ice for my constant ice tea drinking. Lots of door shelves (5), large size will hold milk, and two juice containers. The bottom door shelve even holds a 6 pack. Two large compartments for veg and and a another one for dairy. Its not the cheapest one but should last, so calculated over a long live it is worth the cost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Where do I start? This is a replacement for the same product. First, installation of this device is key. I originally bought this through another distributor, not Whirlpool, and the installation was horrible. I found out two years later (after the initial one-year warranty period), that the refrigerator had been dropped! The door hinge was broken which accounted for the doors not lining up and the compressor working overtime. Needless to say, the unit continually had issues with staying cool. As a matter of fact, the outside of the doors were hot indicating that it was constantly working to cool the refrigerator.
After receiving a unit directly from Whirlpool with THEIR installers, it was installed correctly. I have had NO issues with this fridge. It has cooled nicely now for a month. I don't hear the compressor going on and off all day. No more sour milk, soft butter, spoiled cheeses, and bad smells associated with a refrigerator not working properly due to a bad installation. I have used Kitchenaid for years and, now I have restored my faith in them. Folks, if you ever receive this product and something is amiss regarding how it looks, do not accept delivery! Make sure they make it right. Thanks, Kitchenaid. I am still one of your fans.
