After our previous Maytag frontload washer quit after 18 years of service. Actually the washer and dryer set was still working, but the washer support spider had corroded and broken, making the washer unusable. The new set is a top load washer with an impeller. Had to get used to the touch to start button. It takes a very light touch, so its just a little tricky. But it can also be used with wifi via your smartphone. All together we are very pleased with our purchase.
