If you've forgotten to add an item to your washing load, the late add feature that comes with many models will come in handy. It allows you to pause the washing cycle to add extra items to the load. To use it, simply press the start button on your Maytag front load washer after you've started the cycle, and your washing will be paused. Many models also come with the extra power button. This helps you dissolve stains more easily. Cold water is ideal for dissolving certain types of stains, and other stains dissolve best with hot water. The extra power button starts the washing cycle with cold water, and the water temperature warms up near the end of the cycle.
