We have only ever had top loading washers and I was a little concerned about getting a front loading one. This thing is amazing. It washes our cloths in half the time and is so quiet that we have to keep checking to see if it is still running (it is). I actually find it so much easier to move the load between the washer and dryer now. Front loader for life!

Spins the clothes dryer than my other front loader...without clunking around a lot. Doesn't seem to go off balance as much either, and try to redistribute the load forever before it stops and says it's unbalanced. I like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice New Washer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this new washer after the 13 year old Whirlpool duet which had been working superbly so far, kicked the bucket. The Control Unit seemed toast and did not want to spend time trying to get it back to life. I like the design of this Maytag and the updated electronics display compared to the Duet. The only thing I did not realize earlier was that this does not have a drum light, so will have to keep a torch nearby but other than that working well so far.

Can you stack the maytag 27" electric dryer on top of washer?

I have the gas dryer but yes you can stack them, I have them stacked.
