Whenever I watch certain apps (not all of them), the TV will reboot every few minutes. I have the latest version of the app, as well as the latest firmware. I've done a full factory reset too. Any ideas on what is going on? Time for a new TV after 7 years

Does the Optical SPDIF send audio in 5.1 channels, or stereo only?
Thank you so much for your question. It is possible for a Tv to send a 5.1 audio signal via an optical cable. However, SPDIF does not have the bandwidth to send uncompressed 5.1 audio at the TV, hence, why only Dolby and DTS can give 5.1 audio over SPDIF. the optical audio output on the TV is capable of outputting 5.1 audio but only when the TV is decoding with the audio signal.
