Cinema Level Movies
Nice upgrade. My 17 year old Sony 52 inch XBR LCD, which was top of the line when purchased, was still working great and I was happy with the picture and my Klipsch sound system. Sony builds them to last. This 65 inch Bravia 8 II is more like having a movie theater in our bedroom. I enjoy watching movies that I have seen before because I am watching them in full cinema mode. The picture quality is truly amazing. I am not using the Klipsch because the DAC unit I bought, and returned, just made popping sounds on the speakers. However, I am pleased with the sound that comes from the TV. The screen is the speaker. Voices are clear, the sound effects are good. I may do a Bravia sound bar and subwoofer later. I like the Google operating system. It is easy to set up, customize, and navigate. My Apple TV device, which was great on my old Sony, is hooked up but not being used. I like the Sony remote better than the Apple remote. It is better for forwarding and backing up the video. The side inputs are easier to access on this one vs my old Sony, when you have it wall mounted. The tech for TV is progressing to movie theater levels, which is nice, because I cannot stand the noise and distractions in a public theater. Now, if Hollyweird would just put out better content, the woke stuff is disgusting and unwatchable. It was easy to mount. I bought a USX full motion. My wife loves it too. She convinced me to upgrade. She is smart! :-)

Bravia 8 II
Finally upgraded my old Sony Bravia 46" to the new Bravia 8 II. Picture is so much better. Better blacks really improve this way beyond my expectations. Love it.

Amazing TV features
I’ve owned Sony TV’s & this one is the best I’ve seen. The picture is as good as any movie theater around. It connected to my Sony receiver & the sound is again as good as the surround at a movie theater.
If your wanting an amazing TV that gives you all this is it.

Best TV I’ve ever had.

I have an 85” of another brand from 2022 and this thing blows it out of the water, even though only 3 years have passed. The colors are amazing, the picture quality is crisp - highly recommend esp if you play videogames. Its a google tv, I use chromecast on my other TV and the connection is so wonky, so I’m glad its built in. Great A++++ tv! I got this in exchange for a review and its the best item I’ve ever gotten. Just wish it was bigger ðŸ˜

Gorgeous TV!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gorgeous TV! It’s super slim, easy to setup, the picture is crisp and vibrant, the sound is clear and concise. While watching something, it’s like I’m in the movie/TV show. This TV is amazing. We may have to buy more for other rooms in then house. Setup was super simple and it connected to the internet easily. There are a lot of features, such as AirPlay, that we are looking forward to continuing to explore.

A high quality TV for the best viewing experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Sony Bravia 8 II QD-OLED 4K HDR Google TV for free from Influenster and Sony in exchange for my honest review.
So my family buys flat screens that range from $100 to almost a $1000, never anything this expensive. I must say the difference in quality and experience is massive. The view and sound is a definite upgrade from what we are used to and it's quite impressive to see. We replaced a decade plus old flat screen with the Bravia 8 II and not only was it lighter to lift to attach to our wall mount, the screen is so clear and the colors pop just right, it's like a movie experience. Setting the TV is quite easy, follow the prompts to connect to the internet, set up your cable and connect to your Google account along with other apps you may use. Also the remote has shortcut buttons to easily connect to streaming apps and the TV has many ports on it's side. Not only is it light but it's sleek, the TV is thin all around, reminds me of a huge tablet except it's not a touchscreen but can you imagine if it was. If you have the means, buy this TV it's worth it's price and then some. You will notice the difference between a more affordable low cost flat screen versus this Sony version, it's a massive difference that we can't wait for movie nights and trying out the PS5 on here. Massive thank you to Sony, fine job here.

Simply lovely
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the Sony BRAVIA 8 II QD-OLED 4K for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly blown away. The colors are incredibly vibrant, and everything looks sharp and clear. Watching movies on this feels like a theater experience at home.
It’s also a beautiful TV. The design is super sleek and minimal, and it fits perfectly in my bedroom. Setup was easy. The sound is surprisingly clear and well-balanced for a built-in system—I don’t think I will need a sound bar after all.
Side note - watching F1 on this was amazing!

Stunning visual quality - bright room approved!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV has amazing color and picture quality. The blacks are super deep, and the brights are really bright. When you turn off the lights, the TV really shines.
What’s really impressive is that even with direct sunlight coming through my windows and hitting the screen, everything still looks super clear—you can see everything perfectly.
The sound isn’t the best, but that’s an easy fix with a sound bar.
The 55-inch isn’t quite big enough to replace my living room TV, but it’s the perfect size for my bedroom. Overall, I’m really happy with the quality of this TV!

Amazing tv

You do have to have a Google account though and Download an app. The sounds are pleasant and sound quality is good! It’s a very thin tv which I like.

Colors are so vibrant!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Sony Bravia 55-inch for a while now, and I can confidently say it’s a solid upgrade if you care about both picture quality and smart functionality. One of the standout features for me is the picture clarity—the colors are vibrant, the blacks are deep, and motion handling is smooth, especially during fast-paced scenes or sports. The XR Cognitive Processor really does a great job at making images look lifelike, especially when streaming in 4K.
The Google TV interface is clean and easy to use. It syncs well with my Google account, and having voice control with Google Assistant built in is super convenient—especially when I’m too lazy to type out long search terms.
Sound-wise, the built-in speakers are decent for casual watching, but I eventually paired it with a soundbar to really elevate the experience, especially for movie nights.
It’s also pretty lightweight for a 55” TV, which made wall mounting straightforward. It looks sleek and modern in my space without feeling bulky.
One small thing to note: if you’re sensitive to glare, the screen does reflect a bit in brighter rooms, so some strategic placement or curtains can help.
Overall, I’m really happy with this TV. It hits a great balance between high-end features and price. Definitely a worthy addition if you’re upgrading your home entertainment setup.

The best TV and great support by Sont
I'll start with the TV. Easy setup. Contrast levels are amazing. Colors pop. Can definitely get bright when needed. Moved on from a 5 year old Sony OLED and was very impressed.
Now for Sony support. Apparently the TV dropped in price. Sony refunded me on their own. Very surprised and impressed by this.
Only change i would like to see is for the remote to be backbiting.

Good looking TV - Slow Tuner
So far so good -- My one initial complaint is the takes to tune into the next broadcast channel -- It's like 5 second for each change. I just want to quickly scroll through the channels like my old LG.

tv pretty good but lacks few things higher nit rate native 4k like projector can still. also seem be missing certain formats like Dolby Vision I\Q. they also fail mention amount nits tv can do and is it 18 bit 22 bit or 24 bit QLED panel or what.

Bravia 8ii vs Bravia 9
I purchased this TV as an upgrade after my 2022 SONY OLED developed a severe screen artifact. Sony gave me a pretty good trade in value on my 2022 so I took the opportunity to go for the Bravia 8ii. Overall, a good TV , has good brightness for an OLED but is very complicated to dial in the different settings. It just did not look good OOB. But after lengthy adjustments, it is better than factory settings. My only concern is I did not give the Bravia 9 mini led a good look

Fantastic Picture Quality
Just received and got it set up. The picture quality is excellent. I would give it a higher rating but i feel the remote is very cheap, no backlight. Had a Sony A95, much nicer remote.

Premium TV Bravia 8 ii 65” but remote is a joke
The TV itself is excellent, and I’ve always trusted the Sony brand. However, I’m extremely disappointed by the decision to pair a premium, top-of-the-line Bravia 8 II with such a basic remote control.
The remote is how you interface with your TV—constantly, multiple times a day. It’s effectively an extension of the television and the primary physical touchpoint of the entire experience. With a premium product, that interaction should feel premium. Sony isn’t just selling technology; it’s selling an experience. This is where that experience fails.
The included remote lacks a backlit keypad, a feature that has become standard among competitors at this price level, and it also lacks any “find my remote” or audible locator feature, despite how easily remotes are lost. For a flagship TV, these omissions are difficult to justify.
What makes this worse is that this decision doesn’t feel like it came from Sony’s Japanese headquarters. It’s hard to believe that a design-driven organization known for craftsmanship and attention to detail would knowingly risk downgrading the perception of a flagship product by cutting corners on something as fundamental as the remote. Instead, this feels like a U.S.-style cost-efficiency decision—saving a few dollars at the expense of the customer experience.
You may feel that a lower rating is unfair, but from a customer perspective, what feels unfair is selling a top-of-the-line product and pairing it with the cheapest remote possible. A rating reflects the entire experience, not just the panel quality. When that experience is compromised, the rating reflects it.
As a good-faith gesture—and frankly as an apology—Sony should provide every Bravia 8 II owner with the remote this TV actually deserves: the TX920U or an equivalent premium model. Asking customers to spend an additional ~$90 to correct what is clearly a poor product decision is, quite honestly, a joke.
This TV is a serious investment. The decision to ship it with such a subpar remote undermines Sony’s premium positioning and erodes trust. Because of this, the Bravia 8 II does not deserve a top rating. Sony can—and should—do better.
