Best washer and dryer we have ever bought
Bought GE Profile washer and dryer 6 months ago they were so loud we could not stand it sold them for NEXT TO NOTHING glad they are gone Speed Queens are so quite wide had to turn the drier off to make sure washer was running.

Feel confident with my purchase
I bought the Speed Queen Washer in May and decided to go ahead and purchase a Speed Queen dryer because I just feel confident with the brand after several less than happy experiences with competitor models.

The Best Dryer
I love this dryer. It dries my clothes quickly, efficiently and very quietly. I can dry large loads in a fraction of the time it took to dry with any dryer I've had in the past.

great product and great performance per dry.
My previous dryer was 29 years old and fast wearing out. I chose Speed Queen because my washer was an older model Speed Queen. I had relatives who had a speed queen dryer that performed well. I wanted a matching pair so I called a local shop and got a new Speed Queen. Love the product. I hope it helps my power bill because dry time is much shorter now.

Wish I got sooner
Was hesitant about price, but had purchased too many other brands that I was not happy with. The new technology does not compare with traditional washer and dryers and capacity.

it is very nice and efficient, since I am 77, it will probably outlast me and become a family heirloom, a little joke there. it is pricey, but so is service calls . When I had a couple of service calls on a previous appliance , both service men said there are fewer service calls for Speed Queen washer and dryers

I don't love it like my speed queen washer
I'm trying to love this dryer like I love my speed queen tc5 washer, but love is too strong a word for this dryer. first I noticed steam water on the floor in front, I read trouble shooting, it said incorrect size loads, well it didn't matter what size loads, I had to pull it away from the back wall another foot to stop most that, good thing we're skinny to fit through the walk, I didn't know it would need that much space. Second I've always needed 40 minutes to dry a full load, there is only 30 mins. or 60 mins. no in between which I thought I could put in between, but you can't. Auto sensing under dries, and even extended tumble with 30 mins under dries, so unless I babysit it, the laundry is either too wet, or over dried with slight smell of burnt. Third the door was a little crooked upon delivery, and it's kind of flimsy, but I don't think it effects function. But it does dry, that's one of the main important things to me, along with lasting. All I know is I hope it just last a lot longer than other brands like I expect, I can deal with the imperfections, just long as it last like a good 20 years like I expect, my speed queen washer already has out lasted others, and I love how it operates, so hopefully my dryer does too, I don't mind checking for dryness, and being skinny.

Delicate needs from
Expected Dry clothes on Delicate
I love the simplicity of choices for drying cycles, but the combination of Delicate, Dry & AutoSense requires TWO cycles to achieve dry clothes. Despite reading the manual and a service call, the clothes are always Less Dry after the initial cycle; it takes a second cycle using the same setting results in Dry clothes.
This dryer went "berserk" the first day I used it and required a new dryer board. I've always wondered if it that replacement computer part is the issue with my Delicate loads.

Speed Queen Washer & Dryer
The dryer door does not stay opened when you open to load wet clothes or open to take out dry clothes. Service technician has been twice to look at the dry and there is nothing they can do. I have called and gone into the store to request help with this issue and no action by the store manager. When the installers installed the dryer they did not use the new dryer vent hose. They used the existing one we had and they took the new one back and told us to go to the store and ask for a credit which we did and again no action to resolve this by the store manager. I am expecting a credit of 37.97.
