Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love 'em I grew up with my dad grilling with bits of branches cut fresh off a few old apple trees growing in our yard. The sweet flavor and smells that these pellets provide is the same if not better. I have used them for burgers, venison, smoking some ham steaks, pork chops, and chicken and all turned out excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Apple Smoke Flavor Purchased my new Traeger over the weekend, having never smoked anything prior, decided to ease myself into this with some Chicken Thighs. Followed a Traeger receipe that started at 180 for an hour, then bumped up the heat to 350 for 45 minutes, the meat was juicy and the flavor from the Apple Smoke was not overpowering. Really excited to try the other pellets now

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First in the neighborhood Having now owning 4 traeger grills I was amazed that in Marathon Florida they had not heard of it. I have several charter captain friends there and invited them over for a Traeger experience. I made smoked wings. Cooked some bison burgers and also smoked some King mackerel and cobia. When I showed them the grill they were amazed at the ease and convenience of cooking on a Traeger. I am convinced I could make a shoe taste good on one. I think that they will be new customers to Traeger soon.

Im 70 years old and have eaten a lot of hamburgers over the years. Thanks for making a grate grill

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Auger Fire and Almost Hopper Too First time to use Traeger apple pellets. Usually use hickory. Cleaned Traeger thoroughly pre-smoke which I always do. Fire pot was completely empty of ash and clean. After a few hours I noticed a little bit of smoke coming out of the hopper, but it was sporadic. After a couple of more hours, the Traeger was eating a lot of pellets and was having a hard time with big temp swings. Then the hopper started billowing smoke. I took the pork butt off and took everything apart down to the fire pot. It was full of what looked like ground up pellets and the fire was clearly being maintained back inside the auger several inches. No fire was in the firebox. Once everything cooled, I pulled out a big chunk of coagulated ash/pellet remains out of the firebox. Something isn’t right with these pellets. After checking recent reviews, others have had the exact same experience. Sticking to hickory until whatever this is has been addressed. This could’ve been really dangerous.
