Cool and quiet
The unit fit perfectly in the existing sleeve. The cord stuck out a bit because the sleeve did not accommodate it but still looks good.
Nice cold air, relatively quiet - perfect size for the living room.

Friedrich Uni-fit Wall Sleeve Air Conditioner
This air conditioner works beautifully, remote control and user friendly. As soon as temp drops, it picks up and runs for less than a minute to keep the living space at a constant selected temperature. I am very happy with it.

Does the job
Does a great job cooling down a large area. Wifi works well and it's really helpful to be able to turn it on from anywhere to cool down before coming home. It's not whisper quiet I don't think any wall A/C units are. Would recommend.

Solid performance
Very solid performance. Not the quietest air conditioning unit in the market but overall it works and cools as expected. Love the WiFi feature and the Dry feature which my last Friedrich did not have 12 years ago.

Wall unit air conditioner
I find it a little loud. I love that that it has wifi, which allows me to operate from my phone.
The quality is much better than my previous wall unit. It doesn’t take that long to cool the house either. Also, it comes with an outside/inside cover if I decide to remove the unit.

Friedrich 12000 AC
To put it simply, I’ve had this ac for 3 months. Love it. The “DRY” feature keeps my studio apt dry, cool, clean smelling. The sleep feature at night is quiet enough (and cool enough) after a temp adjustment to let me sleep at night. Friedrich is the best. It even has WiFi so you can use your phone app as a remote (haven’t done it yet). This was a good purchase (and I thank George for his help).

Problem with vents
The air conditioner works well and the wifi control is a nice feature. I have a big issue with the vents. The side to side adjustment does almost nothing to change direction of air flow. This unit fits under my window and I have a chair in front of it. The vertical adjustment is very minimal, so I can't tilt it up to avoid having it directed at me.

Not as I expected
I had before Frigidaire a/c. It was noisy one, but turned off by temperature. This a/c never turning off. The noise is about the same as previous had. This a/c looks nice, but just for look - I would not recommend it.

It's just too loud.
Nice looking unit and easy to operate however its just too loud. Just the sound of the fan blowing is far louder than my last unit which was 15,000 BTUs vs this 12,000 BTU unit.

Disappointing
Well, it’s an air conditioner, and it cools the room. But it’s definitely loud—at least as loud as the old Frigidaire I replaced. The “25% quieter” manufacturer’s claim is dubious at best. The WIFI control feature is more useful than I expected—hardly essential, but I do use it some from my phone. The display is excessively bright, a fact they tried to compensate for with the “display” button on the remote, but it’s a bad design choice. Worse, the remote looks nice, but has problems. It’s unusable without light (low contrast, symmetrical controls). Button presses often don’t register, and when they do, the results can be unpredictable. The machine changes modes seemingly randomly, and sometimes shuts down instead of doing what you asked. Moreover, the remote does not act as a thermostat, nor does any part of the product report the ambient temperature. (Frigidaire’s remotes are a little weird, but they do all these things predictably and well.) Finally, expect to have a cord management problem after you install, unless your outlet just happens to be the magic distance from the unit. Friedrich earned a reputation for being the best in the business, but I’m not seeing it here.

Dont buy
I have a $9 fan that blows cooler air than this AC that cost me over $900.00. My last one only lasted 4 years , but this one is almost useless, particularly in this heat. Its also noisy.

Doesn’t cool , Never did !!!!
This expensive & fancy Wi-Fi unit is useless, this was s as purchased present from an organization for a cancer stricken senior last year April 2022 & one year later July 2023 it still doesn’t work, only blows air from fan. It, doesn’t cool, after calling the organization that purchased to let them know about this. I was informed the warranty ran out & I would have to call in to the store , PC Richards , place a service call to them, get charged & have to pay for service call, parts & labor. This is too expensive of an AC to be so faulty already. Fancy, expensive, Wi-Fi, etc does not mean it’s a good purchase. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS UNIT.

Disappointing
Have had the unit for almost a year. The 'money saver' mode is useless- the unit never turns back on no matter how warm the room gets. The 'dry' and 'auto' modes don't allow you to set your preferred temperature (it goes to 73* and can't be changed), so the room gets way too cold. The remote is very undependable, your better off adjusting the unit by going to it.

Does the Friedrich Uni-Fit, Model UCT 12A30A, Air Condition, come with a wall sleeve or do I have to purchase one?
No wall sleeve, it’s available as an extra. I used my existing sleeve and worked good just had to use little more insulation foam to take up the extra space around the unit.

Has anyone experienced water or bugs getting in the house where the sleeve is a bit bigger than the unit? Also, does the foam they put around the gaps degrade and need frequent replacing?
