2 in 1 Removable Agitator
The 2 in 1 Removable Agitator lets you choose how you wash and care for your clothes by easily swapping the agitator post in or out. With two ways to wash, it's twice the washer you have at home.

Soaking Cycles
Soak and wash in one cycle. Skip a trip to the laundry room with Soaking Cycles that start washing whites and colors as soon as they're done soaking.

Soil Level Selection
Choose the right amount of agitation for your fabrics with an option that lets you select the soil level of your load on any cycle, so you get less agitation on light loads and more on full or dirty loads

Quick Wash Cycle
Your small, lightly soiled loads will be clean in as little as 30 minutes with the Quick Wash Cycle. (Based on a 3-lb load.)

Whites Cycle
Cleans loads of soiled white fabrics with the addition of bleach. An additional rinse helps to remove any remaining chlorine residue. Uses hot temperatures, fast tumbling, longer wash times and an extra-high spin speed for optimal cleaning.

Bulky/Sheets Cycle
The Bulky/Sheets Cycle takes care of bedding as well as those bulky winter jackets. The washer fills with enough water to wet down the load before the wash cycle begins, then uses a higher water level than other cycles.

Clean Washer with affresh Cycle
Run the Clean Washer with affresh Cycle every 30 washes with an affresh washing machine cleaner tablet or liquid chlorine bleach to thoroughly clean the inside of your washer.

Specifically, the 2-in-1 removable agitator was what she wanted. Whirlpool seems to be the only manufacturer of this type agitator. She trusts Whirlpool, their reputation and their appliances from years of owning the brand, so we got this one. The 2-in-1 feature is wonderful! Being able to switch regular agitator loads and wash blankets and comforters makes her day! Yes, we definitely recommend this washer and will buy again if it quits working. We expect that to be a long time from now. She had to change a few of her laundry habits, like using HE detergent. There are few options for water selections but not a problem so far.
