Solid Fridge
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to replace a high-end Samsung fridge that no one in our area could repair when it broke after less than 3 years from purchase.
The Whirlpool is an excellent and affordable choice. Excellent reviews. Both sides are very light and it’s easy to see what’s on the shelves and in the drawers.
We like the auto fill option on the water as everyone in the family carries reusable water bottles to work and school.
Initially thought the kick-plate was missing because it doesn’t look terribly finished on the front bottom of the fridge but that’s minor.
Seems like it could come with another door shelf and another internal shelf or two but I bet we could buy those on our own.

Great side by side with ice and water in door
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and I am extremely happy with it. It does everything I need. Really wanted a side by side instead of the freezer on the bottom. I use the ice and water in the door continuously!

Like the way the icemaker works... better than past refrigerators over the years. However, easy to bump into the touch screen and get a choice underway that I don't want. Suggest that the Quick Start guide have in a prominent place how to back out of a choice you accidentally made

Nice looking with all necessary features.

So far great fridge. Freezer is small but workable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downsized to my retirement house so chose a counter depth fridge. Works well, controls are intuitive, the internal LED lighting is great. Only thing I ended up not liking is that the internal ice maker/water and ice bucket take up a lot of freezer space. I probably notice it more as I had a larger side by side plus a stand up freezer at the old house. Easily made adjustments and it's doing the job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this refrigerator only a week. So far I’m pleased. The location of the ice maker in the freezer door, like most other brands, occupies a tremendous amount of space. But I am happy with the side-by-side design other than that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a good-looking refrigerator which stays at the correct temperature (both freezer and refrigerator). Setting the temperature is easier than previous units that I've had - you can set an actual number (instead of higher or lower) via a digital pad on the front. That said, it's a really complicated device - I kind of miss the simple older type. This one comes with a water dispenser and ice maker which I cannot use since there's no water pipe behind the refrigerator, but, almost all refrigerators have those now. If it was hooked up to water, the set-up would have been very, very complicated (in my opinion). The Owner's Manual doesn't have the detailed operating instructions that might be expected; instead, things like setting the temperature are all in a 1-page "Quick Start Guide." The owner's manual has a lot about removing the doors, leveling, ice maker, water filter, connecting the water supply, etc. The interior of the refrigerator came with lots and lots and LOTS of tape and plastic and Styrofoam which took a long time to remove. The doors had plastic wrap on them and it was difficult to get the small bits off the edges - they had installed edges over the wrap. Thankfully, I was able to remove the door handles to get the plastic wrap out from under those. Aside from those inconveniences, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Great as advertised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice unit -- a true improvement over my old 30 yr old Amana. I love that the ice machine is in the freezer door, rather than at the top of the freezer compartment. It allows for more accessible storage. I like the smart features, like the fan turning off when either door opens, so it's not trying to cool the kitchen.
I really like the LED lighting along the sides of each compartment. Much better than the old overhead bulbs.
