We purchased this refrigerator based on a Consumer Reports review. This is a highly rated model which was listed as Out of Stock due to the marks it received. In fact, the installers noted that they were delivering 10 of these particular model over the next couple of days.
Even though we are empty nesters, we bought the large sized model as we wanted to have plenty of room without having to cram in the groceries. And since we were spoiled by the dual ice makers this replaced, that was a must. Both were easily accessible and controlling their on/off was easy.
The ability to adjust the half shelves is also a plus. We are able to maximize our space with bottles and other tall objects. The freezer layout is very convenient especially the "pizza" section which allows to stand up wide packaging rather than have to commit a drawer divider as wide as possible. This allows use to divide the drawer layout and maximize all space available.
Once the initial startup process and temperatures stabilized, the humming of the variable speed compressor became non-existent. It took about 6 hours for the first batch of ice to be made and after 24 hours, the in door compartment was full while the freeze bucket was approximately half full.
After dumping the required gallon of water to flush out any impurities in the lines, the dispensed water not only was tasteless but it was also very cold.
The dimensions for the space it occupies were exactly correct and easily slid in. One of the doors was not flush with the other but the packaging included spacers which were easy to install.
All in all, we are very pleased with our refrigerator and look forward to getting many years of use out of it. Our last refrigerator which was also manufactured by the same company but a branded as different brand gave us 12 years of trouble free use when we sold the house it was in and left there.

Terrific upgrade from a Samsung
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best refrigerator I've ever had. The French door mechanism is superior to the previous Samsung refrigerator. The space utilization is very well designed. The ice maker mounted within the door leaves a lot more space inside the refrigerator compared to the old one.
Some things that could be improved:
Doors want to close against the top drawer when it is open.
Plastic wrapping when the refrigerator was delivered goes behind plastic parts and does not come out easily, leaving little shreds of plastic that took forever to remove.
The ice maker valve is loud while flowing water.
None of these issues are a big deal, so this is still definitely a five-star refrigerator.

The top icemaker keeps plenty of ice available. There needs to be something below the ice maker/water dispenser to catch drips.

Very Functional Refrigerator with Nice Space

The temperatures have maintained the settings well. The ice makers are functioning well. The stainless steel is easy to keep clean. The space in both sections have been convenient.

Excellent Refrigerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this refrigerator. It is roomy in the refrigerator area and the freezer area. I love the front slot in the front of the freezer which is meant for pizza, but it is handy to put smaller items that I can readily access. The 2 icemakers are great! The only negative comment is that the spout for the water dispenser needs to be further out. If you don't hold your cup directly under it and tilted, the water goes everywhere but in the cup. We would buy this refrigerator again hands down.

Room for everything and everything in reach
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What's not to like? Two ice makers. As much interior room as a small house. Easy access as doors open wide. Deep door compartments on the right especially hold tons. First fridge I've had with a pull-out lower drawer freezer. Seemed weird at first but I like it. Overall, room for everything and everything is accessible. Black stainless steel has an modern look and matches our other black kitchen appliances.

Best buy!

The new Whirlpool fridge is sapcious, super quiet, and works perfect and worryfree. So far no any hassle at all. It is not fancy, no high tech features, but just reliable, dependentable, and worry free. Just I want.

All around good buy - utilizing new features well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent design for internal shelving - no wasted space due to ice makers like other refrigerators. Freezer arrangement allows for high use and low use sections. Ice within the freezer is handy for filling ice buckets and coolers. Water filter is impressive, offering clean and distinctly clear water without impurities (visibly clearer than water from the tap)
Would definitely purchase this same model again - it keeps temperature properly within the entire space, no hot spots or cold spots.
This is the second Whirlpool we have owned over 20 years, so our high expectations have been met and exceeded - so far (6 months of ownership)

Love my dual ice feature
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I left my whirlpool refrigerator. It was one of the larger ones for the money. It looks great in my kitchen. But my most favorite thing about it is the dual ice Feature. It has ice in the door and also tons of ice in the freezer compartment. I highly recommend this refrigerator.

Huge Capacity, Fast Cooling, Plenty of Ice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big, well-designed, and genuinely useful: the 30 cu. ft. capacity, adjustable shelves, gallon bins, Pint Size Storage, and Pizza Pocket make it easy to organize a lot of food without wasting space. The performance matches the feature list too, with Total Coverage Cooling for even temps, Fast Cool and Fast Freeze for quick recovery, and dual ice makers that store over 11 lbs of ice while the in-door system makes over 3 lbs per day.

Great capacity and flex storage

Multiple door storage shelves provided flexible storage for drinks, condiments, etc. The freezer top drawer is easily accessed for lesser used items while the main section is spacious. The frozen pizza storage area is an added bonus!

Well designed refrigerator

Unlike the first one, we are very pleased with this refrigerator. It is it laid out well, cools quickly and the ice dispenser works great, although it is a little bit noisy. It is great having the second large capacity ice maker below for parties annd filling a cooler. Overall we could not be more satisfied with this refrigerator. Others have noted that ice dispenser is loud when the water valve opens to fill the tray. I wish the water dispenser in the door dispensed more quickly but not a big issue

Large capacity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator to replace one that quit (it wasn’t Whirlpool). We have used Whirlpool appliances for many years and highly recommend them to anyone. All the appliances in our kitchen are now Whirlpool because they last for years. This refrigerator is awesome and has double ice makers that make more ice than we can use. We love this because it has lots of room for our food.

You’ll Enjoy All the Features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is so much larger than our Whirlpool side by side. There is room for all the everyday items we like to keep on hand plus those extras we always have for special occasions. The dual ice makers are a must for South Florida living. My wife loves the smudge proof finish and it is very easy to keep clean. Temperature control is a breeze with the touchpad controls. We did not notice any appreciable energy usage even though this model is much larger. Would definitely recommend.
