Worth Your Money!!
I bought this product a couple of days ago, and it was totally worth it! I got it on sale, so that made it a no brainer. One thing I do wish was an option is to buy the sip lid separately in the Venom color. But other than that, no complaints!

So yes it’s not metal no it doesn’t stay cold as long as the rambler BUT it’s light weight and if you treat it like a yeti cooler (which it is pretty much the same double wall design) and pre cool it with ice then I’ve found it to stay cold much longer. That said again it’s not the rambler if you’re going to be in direct sun or good old Texas heat all day this probably isn’t the one for you and you should try the rambler that’s also equally awesome.

Highly recommend
Bought as a gift for my well-hydrated BF and he loved it! Straw that you can close and sturdy handle set this apart from other jugs on the market. Like how material is lighter weight vs other yeti jugs.

Yeti Silo
Love the size and portability but the ability to keep drinks cool is disappointing I have a few Yeti tumblers so I know the capability of them keeping drinks cool and this item unfortunately does not do the same

Not What I Expected
I really wanted to give this 5, hell 4 stars, but I just can’t. On the upside - VERY durable. I use this daily for carrying water. I’ll fill it with ice and water around 7 am, and by 2 pm, the ice is gone, but the water is still cold to cool. By 4 pm, the water is cool to drink. Maybe I didn’t read what this does well. It’s not a waste of money, just not what I expected.

Had to return 1st one, 2nd not any better
Im a LEO and work 13.5 hour shifts, on hot days the ice does not last. The 1st one I purchased started sweating on the outside with a week of buying it. Returned it to Yeti. The 2nd is no better, ice doesn’t last and same issue. Im a huge Yeti fan and own at least a dozen Yeti products, very disappointed in this one. Should have just bought the stainless steal jug, ice lasted in that one for 2-3 days at a time.

Doesn't Hold Ice
I bought this because it holds 1/2 gallon. Let me say I love the color. I love the top. I hate that it doesn't hold ice!! Like not even 8 hours nor does it keep it cold!! I was very disappointed that it had Yeti on it because it is not like any Yeti I have ever had!

Silo 1/2 Gallon Falls Short…..(But It’s Cute)
I love ALL my Yeti purchased….this Silo, not so much. The Good: It’s lightweight and the lid is so much easier to screw on & off . The color Venom is awesome
The Not So Good: My metal gal Yeti jug will keep ice for up to two days on my bedside table. With this new Silo, the ice didn't even last a full 12 hours. (Bedroom temp was 68 degrees) The Silo is “cute” but it’s “plastic” (overpriced) & not up to Yeti standards. This summer, the bedroom will be warmer, so I’ll be going back to my gallon heavy duty jug(s) that will keep my ice for up to 2 days.
That being said, I love Yeti products especially the 16 Oz, no leak commuter. Out of my over 20 Yeti products, this is the only product that doesnt “make the grade”. (But It’s Cute & Lightweight)

flawed design choices
Bought this a few weeks ago. Excited about the size at first, but it's got real problems:
> Doesn't keep drinks cold — ice melts almost immediately.
> Plastic construction. Fine if kept cool, but I don't trust leaving it in a hot car with microplastics leaching into the liquid.
> Leaks from the side even with the rubber seal fully tightened.
> Tightening the lid cracked the handle only after a few weeks of ownership. questionable build quality for a yeti product.
Can't recommend it.

Worst Yeti to date
The worst Yeti to date. I take this to work & by mid day ice is mostly gone. My cheap igloo cooler did way better than this at a fraction of the price. By late afternoon everything starts to go warm.

Warm water
Baseball Mom here. Hoping that YETI takes the feedback from the other 1-star ranking parents (and please save the hyperlink “solution” reply for your other products because this does not work), but this jug does not do anything to insulate cold water. In fact, the ice melts almost an hour after filling it up (even with mostly ice) that my son complains that his water is not cold enough before his practice/games even begin. Maybe they will try to solve this problem, or maybe not and just save yourself and get a Coleman instead!

Terrible
This does not retain ice. Seriously, maybe 6 hours max. Way less than most of the other Yeti products. I expected it to work well, but... not really. Very disappointing.

Don’t waste you money
I’m normally a fan of yeti but for a blue collar woman working in landscaping all day this was a waste of money. I’ve is melted by 9am. I got this to replace my half gallon hydration jug because the straw lid on the hydration jug is impossible to clean properly without breaking the cup. Not pleased with this purchase at all

Disappointed Jersey
This thing doesn’t even last 4 hours and the ice is gone and drink isn’t cold . Poor choice for yeti as they built their reputation on long lasting sustainable conditions. We have tons of their products and drinks have been in a hot car in July, still cold and ice in my cup . This one’s a dud .

Very Disappointed
I bought this Jug a week ago and I was deeply disappointed!! I thought it would be great because every cup or mug I purchased from YETI I LOVE!! I added ice water to this jug the night before (just like I do with my other items) The problem I had with this product, the next day my ice had melted and my water was lukewarm NOT COLD like the other items I’ve purchased!! If I had known this I would’ve just bought another 32oz cup!!

Ok so I am a huge yeti fan and user but this jug just does not cut it. For the price spend a little extra and get the metal one. Ice does not stay and melts within a couple of hours. I leave my yetis in a vehicle most times and have no trouble with ice retention but when I came back to this one the ice was melted and gone. I love yeti don't get me wrong but they have better products.

Horrible cooler
This thing does not keep anything cool. Ice melts quickly. I even tried putting it in the fridge with ice and still melts away. Water is barely cool. Horrible.

A half-gallon jug, a gallon of disappointment!
I purchased this jug and now I have a chronic case of PPSD, Post Purchase Stress Disorder.
I only give it one star because that's the least one can give. To say this item doesn't deserve to wear the YETI logo is an understatement. The only YETI-ish feature is the superb quality of the lid.
Perhaps it's me. I've been spoiled by the all-day hot and cold performance of my YETI Rambler and tumblers so expecting this model to perform similarly was a mistake on my part.
I'll close with a buyer beware warning: Stay with the metal YETIs if you want to keep your hots hot and your colds cold - this one will only serve to disappoint you.
If mine wasn't customized, I'd return it for refund or exchange.

No ice tea
I got this product because I take my lunch to work. Thinking it would hold ice tea very well. But the joke was on me dose not even make 12 hours before all the ice melts. Had my name printed on it so can not return. Not worth the money. Have a cheap jug keeps ice tea for 2 days.

Indoor jug not for outdoor sports
I live in Texas the ice won’t last more than 15 minutes when the gallon is taken outside. I bought this gallon for daughter for my daughters softball tournaments. This gallon is more for indoor sports not for outdoors sports. I would go back to the original half a gallon metal jug. Do not recommend this jug for hot environment.
