Best dishwasher to date
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this Bosch dishwasher after our other well known name brand dishwasher died after only 5 years. I wanted something that would last, was dependable and durable. Bosch does not disappoint. It is by far the nicest dishwasher I have ever owned. It is incredibly quiet, cleans my dishes amazingly well, and looks great. It is worth every penny and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new one

Clean dishes, quiet operation.
So far, I’m pleased with cleaning of my dishes and how quiet it operates. I haven’t played around with the various features. The ‘Clean’ indicator light isn’t lit after the cycle finishes. I can’t figure out if there’s an option for that. I get the cycle completion message in the app.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this Bosch dishwasher to replace a not-so-old unit that had already become unreliable. Even though my previous dishwasher was only about six years old, finding replacement parts was surprisingly difficult. At that point, I decided it was time to upgrade to a brand known for reliability and timeless quality and Bosch absolutely delivered.
This machine works beautifully! It completes a full cycle in far less time than my old dishwasher, and my dishes come out spotless every time. I especially love the third-rack silverware tray at the top. It’s far more efficient at cleaning utensils than the traditional basket on the lower rack, and it frees up extra space below.
We did run into a bit of confusion with the electrical installation (you must have proper grounding with your wiring), but using the optional plug to a grounded outlet solved the issue quickly.
Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this dishwasher and hope it lasts for many years to come. After this experience, I’m seriously considering upgrading the rest of our appliances to Bosch quality as well!

My new BOSCH 399 Series Dishwasher

Perfect fit!

Unbeatable machine

The machine is quiet and cleans very well!!! Only negative is machine has to have rinse agent but I can deal with That.

Solid build, looks smart, one notable shortcoming
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setup: Instructions for setting up this dishwasher were thorough and clear and provided links to videos that gave detailed explanations for topics I wanted a little more info on.
Build: The build quality appears solid.
Design: The dishwasher looks good and fits in well with our kitchen's overall look.
One notable dissapointment: Unlike other dishwashers we've owned (including a Bosch) this one doesn't have a way of holding stemmed wine and cocktails glasses upright. Where our past dishwashers had a narrow flip-down shelf on one side which held wine glasses in place, this one has nothing to stabilize them, leaving wine glasses to flop over. A frustrating shortcoming for a dishwasher in this price range. (Apparently one has to buy a more expensive model to get the flip-down shelf.) We've had to jury-rig a system where we place wine glasses on the sides of the upper rack and hold them in place by inserting the top of a plastic food container between the glasses and the outside of the rack.

Great dishwasher, hard to operate
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Bosch. It replaced a mediocre dishwasher and does a far better job cleaning things. Main pain points:
- the racks have opinions. All the prongs are angled, which makes tall things or pots/pans/sheet pans hard to slot in without wasting a lot of space.
- the interface on the dishwasher is nice and simple...but means that I have to use the app to get most of the functionality. If I want to set it to start at 8pm, I have to remember to go to my phone to do that.
- Maintenance mode is great! But it took me 5 minutes to find it. Much of the app is like that, largely unintuitive.
But the dishwasher really works well, and is so quiet we have to again check the app sometimes to see if it's running.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ought Bosch because of the reputation of the brand. I like the dishwasher overall. The racks feel flimsy compared to other brands. The top rack cannot be lowered this causes some issues. The very top rack is almost to tight to the top of the dishwasher. It is quiet and seems to do a good job. I have had this dishwasher for about 2 months.

Great so far
After having to replace 2 machines in the last 8 years, I made the jump to a Bosch 500 series. Well-packed (9-ply plywood!) and good instructions. One negative: the outlet hose is the exact same diameter as my current InSinkerator disposal, so I had to buy their adapter.
Runs great and so quiet. Extra Dry cycle is necessary, and every once in a while a piece of cutlery from the third rack has a bit of food left on it - no big deal. Overall very happy.

Cleans well, but doesn’t dry well and rack alignment is terrible. For some reason my glasses keep breaking. The design of the rack configuration is one of the worst I’ve used.

Bad Silverware Basket Design

The Not So Good: Like all modern dishwashers, it doesn't dry very well.
The Very Bad: The design of the Silverware Basket being short and wide interferes with loading large plates and the tines face in opposite directions which makes it worse.

Do not recommend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher gets the job done, but that's all the good I have to say about it. Dishes are NEVER dry. Also if you plan to wash anything other than plates and silverware, good luck getting it to fit any way that doesn't severely limit the load capacity. Plastic Tupperware, forget it. Kids plastic dishes, nope. Bowls, not going to happen. I can get 50% of what I fit in my old dishwasher in this one because of how poorly the racks are designed.

Disappointed

It also doesn't do a good job of cleaning the dishes. Im wishing I would have just repaired my old dishwasher instead of getting a new one.
