I LOVE my new Friedrich A/C!
I am so glad that I bought this a/c! It cost more than the others that I was looking at, but it is well
worth it. It is very quiet and runs very smoothly and cools quickly and perfectly! And unlike the previous Friedrich that I had the filter does not have to be replaced periodically, but can be easily washed.

A/C was promptly delivered, and the installment was good, I have it kept on cool the way I like and when using, it's best to have ceiling fans on to move the air flow. I like 68 degrees fht. I have ordered A/C's in upstairs bedroom and awaiting for the arrival of products to come in.

Air Conditioner Review
Our Friedrich 10,000 BTU Wall Sleeve Air Conditioner was installed in late summer of 2019. It seems to be doing a good job but won't be truly tested until the summer of 2020. It is very quiet and hopefully will cool the entire first floor of our house. It is attractive and very easy to operate.

Works great but remote died in 2 days. Replaced batteries twice and called for service. Still waiting for new remote to b mailed! Thankfully, manual control works.

This is a great unit, we have a bigger one downstairs so we know how great it is. Knocked off a star ⭐️ because it runs a bit noisily… like a persistent rattle. I would venture to say it is a the Unit or the install.

You can program it for a lot of things. Actually 17 pages of directions on doing all those, Little overwhelming.

THE FRIEDRICH KUHL 10,000 BTU AIR CONDITIONER
I was looking for a unit to cool our bedroom, approx. 400 sq. ft. Our old Friedrich lasted 27 yrs. which led me to favor a Friedrich. Also my wall opening was for a 10,000 BTU unit which fit the unit I purchased, the Kuhl 10,000 BTU size. I purchased the Kuhl due to it's more robust construction, and the ease of replacement. The unit does a super job of cooling before we go to bed. One half hour before our sleep time I turn it on High and it cools the room from 76 degrees to 68 degrees. I then run it on Low and it maintains temp between 68 and 67.5 degrees through out the night. With the low speed the noise level is slight and does not disturb our sleep. I have tried Medium speed, and it is nosier but not enough to bother us. I found the run cycle is about 20 minutes every hour with low speed. The external temperature in Ct. is in the high seventies, at night. During daytime with temperatures in the mid 90's the room stays cool at 70 degrees at medium speed. Currently I am pleased with the performance, and hope for another 27 years. The only negative, I was told it is a sealed unit and if a leak occurs then discard the unit, there is no recharge capability,
so I bought the extended warranty. PC Richards did the delivery and installation and did a great job in a timely manner.

I've got the Friedrich air conditioners that work great but I'm finding that this one doesn't cool the room well. I'm really surprised but definitely not very satisfied with this AC.

The unit.
Always have brought Friedrich units. The last one that was brought, towards the end of May was not working right. The people at P. C. Richards were very helpful. They sent a AC. Tech who deemed the unit had a faulty part. The unit is being replaced as of this Saturday 06/25/22. I will continue to by this brand understand sometimes things happen. thank you.

WATER ACCUMIULATING IN UNIT
UNIT WAS IN FOR A WEEK, HAD TO SLIDE OUT TO REINSTALL. WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR. WHY DOES WATER ACCUMULATE INSIDE? UNIT WAS INSTALLED IN JAN, HAD NOT BEEN USED.

These are not the same quality they were about 5 years ago. The cover is a cheaper plastic that rattles. It’s a quiet ac but the cover rattles loudly.

I purchased this a/c less than a month ago and I’m ready to return it. The compressor is extremely loud and the casing rattles when the compressor goes on. I purchased this unit because I have a similar one elsewhere in the house that does not have this issue.

Very disappointed.
I've owned a number of Friedrich units in the past and always been happy but this unit is terrible! Not at all worth the money I paid for it, and add to that the cost to install it thru the wall. Don’t buy it. It’s so noisy! Especially when the compressor kicks in it sounds like a someone is starting a diesel motor. Would not recommend this unit at all.

Loud, Poor Build Quality & Sauna Like Environment
I have owned Friedrich's for years, including earlier models of the Kuhl line. Friedrich took a HUGE step back with this new wifi version and the build quality, operation and features reflect this. First, the model is extremely loud which is one of the reasons people pay an eye-popping amount of money for the unit. Second, the unit does not properly read the room temperature and does not properly cool the room. The unit does not cycle on often enough leaving a damp and humid setting, even at the lowest settings and even with the proper BTU's for the space. Waking up in the middle of the night in a sauna like setting will become your new normal.
