Quality Air Conditioner
I knew that from experience that P.C. Richard always had quality products. I had to replace
the air conditioner that was in the apt from a prior owner. It is not an inexpensive air conditioner
but it is a reliable brand , I'm sure I will utilize it quite a bit next year.

New Friedrich AC Installation.
Runs very quiet. Cools a large family room with 12 foot ceiling with skylights very efficiently. Nice looking unit too. Replaced my old Friedrich unit that was purchased in 1988.

For me, a huge investment - thought it would last
I'd so rather buy quality that will last rather than add to our land fills every few years. This was a big investment for me. At 6 years (just past the 5 year warranty) the compressor has gone bad, and the board for the controls is also not working (unit turns on and then won't turn off). Not that it matters since the compressor is gone. Cost to repair exceeds the cost of a new unit. Very disappointed, including that when calling Friedrich they added insult to injury - wow, once they have lasted 5 years the Kuhl line should last 20 or 30. But they give no consideration whatsoever for one the didn't. I used it very gently, always bought the manufacturer filters, kept it clean. Really unhappy and can't imagine that I will purchase Friedrich again.

Noisy A/C
I own 2 other friedrich air conditioners and they are quiet. This is always making a grinding sound. not happy with it at all. And this is the 3rd one PC richards sent me. The first was defective then they sent me a used AC and lastly this noisy one. For the high price it stinks.
