The Cadillacs of the A/C world.
I consider Friedrich to offer the Cadillacs of the air conditioner brands and their Kuhl series to be the Lamborghinis. The 15,700 btu in my living room is easily controllable from the remote. Simply set it to, say, 75 degrees, and the cool mode switches to fan only--and vice versa. It's a snappy looking piece of equipment as well.

I had this unit installed recently and I am
Quite happy it kept showing up in my search. It ticks all the boxes - cools my entire apartment rather quickly, it’s not annoying loud; the sound is rather pleasant. To all those who didn’t know how to get the WiFi connected, you need to slow down and read the manual; I got it connected quickly. The installers did a beautiful job and were super thorough. I’m sure it will be fantastic for years to come!

Back order means we’ll have to wait until next summer to know how reliable it is. It’s very heavy and you need to trust installers to get it right. Make sure to get exact electrical requirements- they aren’t regular and you’ll probably need an electrician to pull a dedicated line.

For the acclaimed price and BTU ratings, it feels pretty weak. It looks very modern in the photos but hands-on the quality of the material is average. I would not buy this item again. Our previous discontinued model was a Carrier and it was outstanding.

Not reliable
2 weeks after purchasing this ac it died. Had to wait a week before someone could service it. It was a burnt-out board. Took the technician 2 minutes to fix. Not happy. Bought this brand because it's supposed to be reliable. Also on it's quietest setting it's still very loud.

Doesn't hook up to wifi like it is supposed to so that you can use with the app for your smartphone.
