Easy installation and setup. Relatively quiet while cooling. The raise temperature function on the remote control unit does not work. All other remote features do.

Air conditioner
Only problem I had with it, was connecting the startup feature with my smart phone. It was impossible to do without the help of the Friedrich customer service dept. It even took them several attempts over a 3 week period to get it to work. They finally called in their engineer to resolve the problem and it even took him 2 attempts to resolve the problem. I am now satisfied with the air conditioner and the assistance I received from Friedrich customer service

The Timex of air conditioners
Very quiet and reliable. I have 12 of these same units in our large Victorian house and they keep our 4,000 sq. ft. 2 family house very comfortable. We have several larger units for larger rooms.

No real value for your money
Slowly cools room. Overpriced by any standard. Only bought this because it was an exact fit for our old through the wall Friedrich unit which, incidentally, was awful from day one. Definitely NOT a brand that I would recommend unless you're stuck, as were we!

Expensive small AC
Paid $996 including tax and $35 same day shipping. A lot of money for a small AC and much louder than expected when compressor turns on. No fresh air/exhaust. Display completely turns off after a few seconds which is great for sleeping. Recessed hole on each side act as handles makes install much easier. Other than that not much difference from a $400 lower tier model. Order placed around 3:30pm but same day delivery could not be fulfilled and fee still charged. Delivered next day mid-day.

Pros: (1) blows out ice cold air and cools the room quickly (2) above average build quality.
Cons: (1) WiFi does not work with 5G wireless home network (2) On/Off button is quirky to use (3) while it is not overly noisy; it is no where near as quiet as advertising suggests.

Terrible AC
I would not recommend this AC for home use. Two reasons are:
1. It is very loud. The front grill rattles badly when compressor is kicks on 2. Basic remote control consume battery power even when not in use. Prepare to change the batteries every two weeks or so.

This unit is loud and rattles in the window. Also, the unit, which is in the upper portion of the window, can’t detect the remote, which is incredibly frustrating.
