Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Dryer I love this dryer. Very quiet. Plays a lovely little jingle when complete. My favorite item is the lint traps. It traps everything inside an enclosed basket so very little gets down inside the lint trap area. Very nice!

My wife loves 'front-loader' clothes washing machines ... our last was a Kenmore Elite 3 (Made by Bosch) ... it was super quiet, smaller capacity, a very reliable well-made machine. This new GE front-loader has quite a few "updates" for front-loader designs. It has a "MicroBan" impregnated "Blue" silicone 'Door Seal Ring' which addresses one of the most frequent issues that people complain of (the need to wipe water from the older door seals to prevent the possibility of molds forming on the door seal). This new design has a very-very-large capacity, it has numerous advances that very-effectively address delicate fabrics (clothes, exotics, etc.), leaving these items fantastically new-looking and in perfect clean condition. This new design is very energy efficient, quiet, and all-around a very welcome addition to our home!! We still have a fondness for the older KE3 'Bosch' Machine but after 23 years the advances in washer design outweigh the loss ;-)).

We purchased it to replace a Samsung dryer that gave us nonstop problems since day one when we purchased it five years ago. The design of this dryer has an appealing look and is aesthetically pleasing in our laundry room. One of our favorite things about this dryer is how quiet it is compared to our previous dryer. It also has the capacity to handle larger load sizes, which is very beneficial with a toddler in our home. Ability for us to check its status via the SmartHQ app from anywhere is a game changer. With the smart HQ app we can see where it is and in its drying cycle and how long a cycle has been finished. This dryer has been a great purchase and we will soon purchase the washer to match it!
