Very, very good
We have had the 14000 BTU version of this AC in our main living area since 2023 and have been extremely happy with it - great performance and quiet. So, when the 8000 BTU inverter AC we had in our bedroom was recently recalled it was a no brainer to get the 8000 BTU version of this LG Dual inverter AC to replace it. All I can say is wow! It is SO QUIET. On the low fan setting it is barely audible, although we have been running it mostly on medium fan in the hot, humid NYC Summer - but even at that setting it is quieter than the unit it replaced. Performance is excellent - it cools quickly and then holds the temperature rock steady. Aside from a little difficulty getting the screws in to attach the side panels (a problem not specific to this unit) installation was simple and I was able to do it all myself quckly. I also like that you can turn off the LED display (nice feature at night in a bedroom) and the auto-clean feature is handy, which automatically leaves it on fan-only for a few minutes after turning the AC off so that it dries out to reduce mold growth. The LG ThinQ app is also great for remote control, scheduling and so on. We've only had it for 2-3 weeks now so I obviously can't speak to longevity, but that larger version in our living room is now in it's third season with no change in performance and so I expect the same from this 8000 BTU version. Overall, extremely happy with this AC and recommend it without any hesitation.

Cool, QUIET, compact
This little unit is so quiet, it's amazing. It cooled in a heartbeat, is powerful, has a remote and was super easy to install. It is a little bit heavier than our previous AC whose compressor bit the dust, but we are extremely happy with this unit. LG is phenomenal. Highly recommend!

It’s worth it. Buy these dual inverter units.
This is an excellent AC that is very quiet, powerful and may pay for itself over the years with its low power consumption. I bought 3 of these window AC’s for my apartment. Each one 8000 btu. These high tech units work very well. Cooling off the apartment in very short time. The noise level is low too and I love the feature rich cellphone app that it uses. It’s worth the extra cost. You will save in the end as time goes on with lower energy costs. As an added plus. When our power company reduced voltage to prevent a citywide blackout. My AC units continued to pump out cold air. My last AC could not as the compressor did not have sufficient voltage to kick in properly. But these new dual inverter types seem unaffected by lower voltage supply in these situations. I highly recommend them. I bought 3 and no regrets.

Very quiet love it
Very quiet, I liked it so much I could not wait to buy another for my living room. Also is very good on energy. The only complaint is that the dark control panel makes it hard to see the settings, so mainly I use the remote or the app.

Great Purchase
The air conditioner is Great!. There is no noise when on. You can hear your TV without the rattling of an air conditioner. It keeps my apartment cool . It has several features like dry function which takes moisture out of your house, energy saver, fan functions, sleep mode etc. I was hesitant in purchasing this item but im glad I did!. If your looking for an 8000BTU air conditioner with minimum noise this is the brand to purchase. I recommend this one.

Cools room fast!

The included remote makes it really easy to control, and it comes with some nice features that are simple to use. One thing to keep in mind is that it is pretty big, so installation might take a bit of effort, especially if you’re doing it solo. But once it’s in place, it works great and keeps the space nice and cool. Overall, a solid, reliable AC that does exactly what you need it to.

Super Cool Unit

My husband installed it and didn’t have any complaints, so the installation was pretty easy- which is a plus because some units are such pains to put into the window. I feel like the air quality is great and the noise level of this unit is pretty normal- definitely on the quieter side- which I prefer. The smart features are chefs kiss. I love being able to control it via my phone and by voice! If you’re in the market for an amazing AC unit? Consider LG. It’s exceeded all of my expectations 😌

useful addition to apartment life
The unit is quiet and seems to work well, although cold unseasonable weather has limited use of cooling functions. A flaw is that the buttons on the unit are almost impossible to see at night, unless the lights are on; remote compensates somewhat, but not fully.

And this has NO issues cooling almost the entire house. I love that it has a remote for easy turn off and on, it’s kinda heavy so takes a bit to put in but perfect otherwise. It’s quiet so no issues hearing the tv either!

It has a convenient remote that let's your control from the comfort of your couch, bed, or just about anywhere. The lights can also be turned off for a "night" setting so its not giving off any extra light, but remains on! This is definitely the AC to buy if you're looking for a new one.
