Customers Say
AI-generated from the text of customer reviewsThis traditional top-loader strikes a practical balance between modern features and familiar operation. The agitator design, while more compact than older models, still delivers reliable cleaning power, especially when using the Extra Power option for tough stains. A standout Pet Pro filter system effectively captures fur and hair during washing - a huge plus for pet owners. The generous 5.4 cubic foot tub handles family-sized loads well, and the glass lid lets you monitor progress without interruption. While the washer offers useful features like a built-in faucet for spot treating and flexible water level controls, some aspects feel less refined - notably the basic manual dispensing system and occasional noise during spin cycles. Load balancing can be tricky with bulky items, but proper distribution typically ensures effective moisture removal.

Efficient and easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great washer that actually cleans the clothes properly and is easy to use. Love the pet hair filtration feature as we have two dogs. The tub is big and can handle large loads well. Love that we can adjust water level according to the amount of clothes and soil level. Overall, very pleased with it.

Excellent machine!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my new washing machine. Not only are my clothes much cleaner than my old machine, but the spin cycle removes much more water so they dry better too. I love the pet hair trap too because it's so easy to clean and keeps my laundry hair free.

Decent washer captures hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer controls are simple knobs, without electronic display. Pet hair and lint is captured in the central agitator and is easy to clean. The washer has other basic features, including various temperature and speed options plus load sensing for automatic water level control. Capacity is larger than our old Maytag.

Agitation
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer for its agitation. Our clothes get a lot cleaner now. Sometimes I wish they still made the old Rwinger washer..
i got this because of the agitation was fully used it still has the better bars. Our clothes get a lot cleaner now. I sometimes wish they still made the old wringer washer.

What can I say? It works.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer replaced a 27-year-old Maytag. The old washer worked fine. The reason for replacement was its' age.
It is going to take some getting used to how the new washer works. The clothes come out clean and the spin cycle removes most of the water, shortening the drying time.
The total wash/rinse time seems a little long. Not much of an issue.

Great new Maytag washer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new washer is a big and needed improvement over our previous, 9 1/2 year old Maytag Centennial which required numerous repairs, many done by me. We haven't had this washer long enough to speak in detail about it, but are also pleased with the many options.

Hairless
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a 28lb Maincoon cat that has many layers of different hair types. The Maytag washer and dryer we purchased has a function that its purpose is to assist in the removal of the daily attack that is 28lbs of hair with legs, thank you. Love the design and operation of this washer. The sale put it at a reasonable price point providing it lasts and is as reliable as advertised. We are glad Maytag offers a washer and dryer with minimal bells and whistles lending to less things to break. Thank you for what appears to be a fine and outstanding product. And yes, the hair assist without a doubt helps to collect and contain hairballs.

Very Happy With This Washer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really happy with this washer! I needed a new washing machine and ended up going with the Maytag Top Load Agitator Washer with Extra Power and Pet Pro Option. I honestly feel like I made a great choice.
One of the things I really like is that this washer actually fills the tub with a good amount of water. I know a lot of newer washers are designed to use less water, but I personally like having plenty of water in the tub so my clothes can really soak and get cleaned. The agitator does a great job of moving everything around, and my clothes come out clean and fresh.
The Extra Power option is also a great feature. I like having the option to give certain loads an extra boost when clothes are especially dirty or have tougher stains. The Pet Pro option is another nice bonus, especially if you have pets and are constantly dealing with hair on your clothes, blankets, and bedding.
I’m also really impressed with the spin cycle. It spins the clothes really well and gets out a lot of the water. My clothes come out much less wet than they did with my old washer, which means less time in the dryer. That has been a huge plus for me.
Overall, I’m very happy with this washer. It cleans well, has plenty of water, has a strong spin cycle, and the extra features are actually useful. It feels like a solid, well built washer, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good top-load washer with an agitator. Definitely a 5 star purchase for me!

Pet Pro = Game Changer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With two dogs that shed constantly, the Pet Pro option on this washer was a must. And what a gamechanger it has proven to be! I am amazed at the hockey puck of hair, neatly compressed and easily removed from the special filter! Coupled with a filter on the drain hose, I believe we have finally resolved the slow or clogged drain issues we were experiencing. The machine is fairly quiet and has all the options we need. Loving it so far!
