I’ve been using the Midea 50/50 Flex fridge freezer, and honestly, it’s exceeded my expectations in every way!
Temperature Control:
The Flex feature is a lifesaver! You can switch compartments between fridge and freezer depending on what you need—perfect for holidays or grocery hauls. Everything stays super fresh, and the cooling is consistent and reliable.
Storage Capacity:
Don’t be fooled by its clean, compact design—this thing holds a lot. There’s plenty of space for both fresh and frozen items, and I love the adjustable shelves and deep door bins. It’s super easy to stay organized!
Noise Level:
It’s so quiet! I barely notice it’s on. That’s a huge win if you have an open kitchen or live in a smaller space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got this fridge delivered yesterday after much contemplation. Looking into it and making sure it would work for our garage and our needs. I absolutely love the fact that you can turn this either into a freezer or a refrigerator because, depending on the time of year, I need more refrigerable items towards spring and summer. And actually, the winter is when I really need that freezer space, so it's great to have both options. It fits in our garage space perfectly right now. It's going to be used as an additional refrigerator space and there's a lot of it. I'm impressed of how much space there is and it doesn't take up a lot of room. My garage does get really warm during the summer months so i'm glad that the fridge can sustain up to a hundred and ten degrees, because it gets to about that temp. It's quiet, it doesn't hum really loud, and it actually cooled really fast within hooking it up. Again, I absolutely love the idea that when I need more freezer space, I can turn both spaces into a freezer, such a genius idea.And we'll come in handy for my family of five. We may get a second one for our rental house garage because of how handy this will be . 100000% recommend, can't beat the price !

Best Frig combo ever.
We purchased it 3 weeks ago. it is great. The only problem is it does not have a light in the lower unit. We have searched for a battery powered Freezer/frig light but no luck.

Nice up to date efficiency fridge all in 1

This fridge holds a lot of food and perfect for garage for back stock. Convenient as it switches between fridge and freezer without issues. Energy efficient is always a plus! We notice no sounds, quite. We love the freezer has drawers! Great for frozen fruits!

Great storage and perfect for the garage

Great Smart Refrigerator for the Garage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had the Midea set up out in my garage and I love the flexibility of choosing to either have all freezer space or all refrigerated space, the flex also allows my current setup of refrigeration on top and frozen on the bottom . The best part is the interior space and the amount of drinks or food I can store. A smart app also allows me to monitor the temperature and to see if one of my children leave the door open. I am more than pleased with this refrigerator.

Very versatile

Will save us money in a long run!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an outstanding addition to our garage, we are family of 4 and we do like everyone else have a regular fridge in a kitchen but unfortunately as kids grow so our need to buy and store food so we were very limited on what we could get in the stores due to very limited capacity in our kitchen fridge. This is absolutely amazing, you can switch it to full freezer, full fridge or half and half as far as temperatures goes, which kind of incredible. We left it as half and half and loaded top fridge with drinkers for us and kids and have plenty of room for bulk vegetables and milk. Freezer is great as well, from meat to kids popsicles, to an extra bag of ice for summer, it’s super nice because it is in garage so kids can run up and grab a drink or snack directly from here. So in a long run it will save our family great amount because now we can buy bigger bulks that tend to be cheaper. Plus this fridge is super quiet, can’t hear it at all, not that it would make huge difference for us since we do have it in the garage, but if it’s a deal breaker for you, truly makes no noise at all. Quality seems great, super easy instructions and it’s ready when you get it, plug it in and it’s good to go once it’s cooled off. The whole experience with this fridge is absolutely smooth and excellent, everything was very easy and wife just super excited to put all drinks in instead of them just sitting in a garage in boxes and loading few at time in our main fridge. It is super helpful for us and we definitely loving all the savings that will come with it because of additional food storage! Love the fact that we have option to regulate compartments that the best fits our family needs!

Garage Pantry Game Changer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Midea 50/50 Flex replaced our old standup freezer in the pantry off of our garage and it is a GAME CHANGER! I included a picture of our old commercial freezer to show how limited the capacity is compared to the Midea 50/50 Flex, despite being nearly the same size (Midea was only 1.5” larger all around). Not only is the 50/50 feature amazing since it lets us choose how we want to split the space, but it also allows us to keep the second half closed while only looking in one part (our previous stand up freezer was a single door).
The app also allows you to not only control the temperatures of each section, but also switch between which half is freezer or fridge in addition to running a diagnostics check and energy management. From the pictures, you can see how an entire commercial freezer’s worth of frozen food fit into our new Midea with PLENTY of room to spare.
We definitely recommend the Midea 50/50 flex to replace your old garage overflow freezers and give you the additional space and flexibility you need!

Amazing

Temperature control

The dual cooling systems ensure precise temperature for both fridge and freezer sections. The compressor run smoothly and quite, even though we use in the garage but you can suddenly use inside your house. The noise level is quiet compared to other model. I suddenly think this fridge/freezer is an awesome appliance to have in the house. Kids would love it when playing outside and run to the garage and grab a snack, a drink or whatever you have for them.

Great Garage Refrigerator/Freezer
I bought this Refrigerator /Freezer in February of 2025 to replace a 35 year old Kenmore Refrigerator/Freezer. So far I like this unit and it performs as it should by holding a constant temp in both the refrigerator and the freezer. I like having it on Bluetooth so I can periodically check on its performance. The unit is very quiet, you can’t hear any compressor sound at all. I like the ability to use both top and bottom as a refrigerator, also it has lots of storage space inside. The one and only negative thing I’ve found on it, is there’s no interior light in the bottom freezer. I use this unit in my garage, so when I look inside I need a flashlight to find things stored there. If there was a light down there, it would be the perfect unit for extra cold storage in the garage.

Poor door seal/Missing light in lower compartment
The absence of a light in the lower compartment is poor design. Each door looses its seal when the other is closed causing the need to always push on each door to make sure it’s closed and sealed. Overall the concept and general function of the unit is good.

Horrible
Fridge has not worked since day one. Keep arguing about keeping it in a temperature controlled area when it’s advertised as garage ready. We even have it in a temperature controlled second garage and they still will not fix it. 3 months of owing this junk and have never been able to use it. Gets up to 55 on defrost mode. Did the quarter in a frozen glass of water thing, quarter is now down halfway into the cup showing it’s literally de thawing on the daily. I don’t know why Midea keeps fighting on fixing or taking this thing back. Ridiculous. Will never own another Midea product. Wish we had just bought a small second regular fridge at a discount place over this.

No power cord
I had my Midea delivered today and it did not have a power cord so I had to order one with overnight shipping because I ordered this not only for my daycare but I'm using it as an emergency food shelf because of the government shutdown to help my community until SNAP Benefits come back.

Poor design
Great idea, except the seals don't stay closed and the top keeps malfunctioning. The app says there is no issue, but the top is not cooling. Repair guy has already fixed it once (after only 5 months of owning) and said it would likely happen again because of the poor design. Here we are again, a month later, needing another repair. And it can't be returned so we are stuck with a lemon.

The major flaw I have found is that the bottom door pops open every time the top door closes. The other thing I dislike is that there is no light in the bottom section. I would not buy this product again.
