Best Machine I've Owned
I love this washing machine! Been using for a little over a month now and feel like my clothes have never been cleaner. I love the simplicity of the machine - basic controls but all the options I need. The quick wash time is game changer, I'm all about less time spent in the laundry room! So impressed, I ordered the SQ dryer. I hope to love it as much.

I splurged
Paid the 50% higher price to get a good old testing washing machine that uses water and has no fancy electric panel. And wash clothes well and quickly. I wish there was an option for a very, very small cycle if you only want to wash two things are a very small cycle just to pre-rents something out

Durable washer
The washer is excellent. Cycles are less time but cleans better than previous machines. The soak and wash cycle works great on heavy soils. Purchased due to metal, transmission drive system vs the plastic gears in previous other brand washers that we have owned. Extremely pleased with various cycles and their performance.

Does a great job with no frills
I wanted a nice sturdy top loader after 30 years of front load styles include Speed Queen. This one fits the bill. It does all I need without extra care for the seals, odors and build up. Sorry Speed Queen but my front loader was problematic from day one. I've had the TC5 now for about 8 weeks and I love it.

Simple machine and excellent at cleaning clothes!
This machine reminds me of washers from the 70’s. Simple dials, no computer boards, just a great washer! The tub is smaller, yes, but I can still fit a king size quilt in it and it gets clean! The wash cycle is only about 30 minutes, but even the dirtiest clothes are clean. I haven’t had any problems with it getting unbalanced or twisting of clothes, especially sheets. And no lid lock! I despise the lid lock! LOL! The only complaint I have is that the water stops running when you open the lid. It was pricey, but I regret nothing! Thank you Speed Queen for giving us a simple washer that cleans better than any other name brand!

Bought a Maytag 4 years ago , never could wash a King size blanket without it going out of balance when spinning. Lid lock was a pain! Clothes never seemed to get clean with it only filling 1/4 way with water. A few months ago the Maytag had some issues at only 4 1/2 years old. I bought a Speed Queen TC5 and decided to test it on the very first wash, threw 2 King size blankets in and turned it on. It ran flawless and when the spin cycle came on it was so quiet and not even a wiggle !! Blankets finally smelled clean and fresh. Washer fills to the top with water and No Lid Lock !! Yes Speed Queen is Expensive , but it surpasses every washer I've had in the last 20 years and my laundry is clean again!!! My wife is disabled and makes lots of dirty laundry , I was 3-4 times almost daily. I'm amazed daily at how well this washer works. " Great Job Speed Queen "

Extremely happy with purchase
We are so happy with our Speed Queen top loader washer! I researched various washers,and I had always wanted a Speed Queen so just decided to do it!! I am so happy we did. I just wanted a simple washer with old timey knobs controls. Have had very bad luck with all digital new washers just not lasting like our older models used to back in the day. Thanks Speed Queen for keeping these around for us!

I bought the TC5 and I feel like I have been transported to the decades of long ago. I have been telling friends and relatives to get one ASAP and that the machines of old days do exist. I have researched out washing machines for quite a while, I really did. What it boils down to is this. If you are a a mechanic, farmer, someone who gets clothes really dirty, get a TC5. It has a real agitator like the old days and will fill up all the way with water. If you don’t get clothes very dirty and no stains or soils, the machine that has the perfect wash might do as it moves the water through the clothes and is a lot more gentle on clothing.
My machine does move when on the spin cycle when I wash something heavier, which I don’t understand so I bought some special pads the washer sits on and I will see if that helps it. I don’t care if i have to sit on it to keep it from moving because i know my clothes are getting clean and while some people complain about the noise level of the TC5, its music to MY ears - I know its doing a good job ! Also, important to me is it’s made in THE USA and that’s important. I know I’m helping American workers. I never, ever thought I’d be so excited about a new washing machine, but having to wash with these water efficient ones from Big Box stores, like I’ve used for almost 20 years that do not get clothes clean makes me realize and appreciate my new Speed Queen washer.

Best washer that’s made.
Very sturdy. Runs quietly. Last washer we had sounded like it was going to fall to pieces and loud. My speed Queen, cleans the clothes better and cycles don’t take as long.

I was told by an appliance repairman that we had become very acquainted with dealing with my previous washer (another brand) to buy a Speed Queen. I finally took his advice and am very glad that I did. I like the simplicity of use, the speed of the cycles and thorough job of cleaning that this washer provides. So far, I’m very pleased with my purchase and hope to never see that repairman again,

Good washer
We have had our Speed Queen washer for only 6 weeks but really like it. The wash cycle is about 1/2 the time of our 4 year old Maytag that broke down. Look forward to getting as much of the purported lifespan of a Speed Queen as I can get.
