I have had this washer for only a month now but I am very pleased with it and the performance of it. It is just like the old time washers, with no lid locking, very quiet, and it washes my clothes thoroughly and in about 30 minutes or less, depending on the cycle you choose, it is done. Yes it was way more than I wanted to spend, but if this machine lasts me more than 10 years, then I have gotten my money’s worth since my last Maytag only lasted 7 years. I would suggest to have the delivery guys put the levelers on the feet, which are included, when they deliver it, we ended up doing it ourselves. Overall, very satisfied.

Great washer
I read a lot of reviews before I bought another washer. The ones I had before were not very good. Always made noise! Never worked well either! All the reviews I read were positive about speed queen. I thought I would chance it even though it was more expensive. You get what you pay for! Great washer! Would recommend spending more for quality!

Well worth the proce
In a use it and discard it world of appliances, Speed Queen make a machine that will run the distance and be worth repairing later down the road. The way things USED to be in America. And it actually get clothes clean. Well worth the premium price tag compared to the competition.

Great Washer
I was used to a very basic old school washer. I didn't want to many electronic options just a durable washer that will last me a long time. I feel that is what we got with the Speed Queen. I've used it a few months and it still looks like it's brand new. It doesn't take long to complete the cycle. Happy with my purchase.

Gets the job done
This machine is the greatest and oh so simple. It gets our clothes clean and the cycles are so fast. It’s not the quietest machine we have ever had but it’s the best. I recommend you buy a Speed Queen.

Best I Have Ever Owned
Don't wait like I did. You get what you pay for, actually, more than what you pay for with this washer. I wish I would have bought one decades ago. You should have seen the first couple loads that I did. The water was filthy from all my previous washer wasn't getting clean, but boy are they clean now! I couldn't be happier.

TC5 seems to be better made than the competition! I like it because it’s old school and fast, cleans clothes well also! But for 1500 bands it better be good!

Best Washing Machine we have ever owned
For years I had a hard time justifying the cost of a SpeedQueen. We finally got tired of replacing box store washing machines every five years. This is the best laundry purchase we have ever made. We have been through the gambit of washing machines even comparable price range of the Speedqueen when I was offered replacements on warranty.
When our Whirlpool dryer bites it (I pray not soon) we will be buying the SpeedQueen. You can see and feel the difference of the machi e itself in the quality of components and craftsmanship.

Bought it one month ago.The price scared me. Feel like I am paying for peace of mind. After a lot of online research, a friend recommendation who has Speed Queen, going to home improvement retail stores and concerned with the appropriate installation. I went twice to an appliance store, who is only seller of Speed Queen in town. Sales lady was great and not pushy. She went over all the models there in detail. They have their own installers and repair people. They do not contract out anything. And you all know what nightmares we have all gone through with that situation. I love the No Lid Lock and agitator. So easy to operate I almost did not know how to. Prior washer, all electronic with lots of bells and whistles like a dashboard of an airplane. It is loud but not a drawback for me. It washes fast and clean. The inside stays clean with no mold build up because it does not have all that rubber inside and the spin cycle takes every drop of water out of the drum. Hope it continues to stay excellent. Get it.

Best, most efficient washing machine
The wash cycle is very effective. The water cycle actually produces a sufficient amount of water to thoroughly clean the clothes. Our clothes appear to be cleaner than before.

So happy I purchased this machine
The repairman I called when my old machine went out recommended that I buy a Maytag. I’m sure glad I did. My old machine had all sorts of bells and whistles… And took almost 2 1/2 hours to wash a load of clothes. What a pain in the neck! This may tag does a much better job of washing and in a fraction of the time it has all the options I could ever need and I’m very pleased with it.

Simple, quick, efficient.
We have only had this machine a short while but it has worked great. Wash cycle is much shorter than our Maytag and the cloths come out just as clean. Simple controls make it easy to use. Even with heavy loads like rugs the machine doesn't dance around the laundry room like our old machine. The only negative so far, and it is a minor one, is that it is noisier than our other machines. Not dramatically so but enough that we noticed. All in all very satisfied with our purchase.

We purchased the speed queen because everything that was advertised about it was true it doesn't have an automatic lid lock, Will clean your clothes like you can't believe if you do a deep clean cycle that's what you get our clothes have never been cleaner I love that I can open the lid and see what's going on in the machine. The price scared me when we first started looking for a replacement machine but after figuring up what we had spent in the last 3 years on other name brand machines that were really made of plastic I saved by purchasing the speed queen which by the way is stainless... Our speed queen is awesome what a value...

We like it so far
We have not had our washer that long but like it very much so far. I especially like that we can add items even after the wash cycle begins AND we like that it does not become unbalanced so far.
