About this Item

7.0 Cu. Ft. Whirlpool Top Load Gas Dryer with Moisture Sensor

This Whirlpool 7.0 cu. ft. Top Load Dryer uses Moisture Sensing to help prevent overdrying by stopping the load at just the right time and features an Air Only Cycle that tumbles your items without using heat. Release wrinkles without rewashing loads with the Steam Refresh Cycle that uses water and heat to get clothes ready to wear. Easily keep loads going on your schedule with the Wrinkle Shield Option which continues tumbling for 150 minutes after the cycle ends or use Timed Dry for extra drying time when you need it.

Key Features:

Moisture Sensing
Two sensors increase your dryer's ability to measure moisture and temperature, helping prevent overdrying by automatically stopping the cycle when the load is dry.

Steam Refresh Cycle
Release wrinkles with the Steam Refresh Cycle. It uses water and heat to get clothes ready to wear without rewashing.

Wrinkle Shield Option
After the cycle ends, help keep wrinkles from setting into clean, dry fabrics with the Wrinkle Shield Option. It keeps clothes tumbling for up to 150 minutes after the cycle ends or until you open the door.

Timed Dry
Take control of your time and the dryness level of your load. Set the control for 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes when a damp load needs a little extra dry time or when using a drying rack.

Additional Features:

Air Only Cycle
Fluff and refresh loads or air out delicates with a cycle that tumbles your items with no heat.

Quick Dry Cycle
Dry a small load quickly or customize settings to add more time. Plus, you can choose to remember your settings for your next load of laundry.

Interior Light
See every item in the dryer with the Interior Light.

Wrinkle Control Cycle
The Wrinkle Control Cycle helps to minimize wrinkles by using lower temperatures during the cycle, then defaulting to using the Wrinkle Shield Option for continued tumbling after the cycle ends.

End of Cycle Signal
Know when your cycle is finished with an end of cycle buzzer

Customers Say

AI-generated from the text of customer reviews

This 7.0 cu. ft. gas dryer offers generous capacity for tackling large loads, easily handling king-size comforters and multiple sets of bedding. While it generally dries clothes efficiently, results can be inconsistent with bulkier items sometimes needing additional cycles. The steam refresh feature helps reduce wrinkles, though water leakage can be an issue during smaller loads. Users appreciate the straightforward controls but miss having a digital timer display. Common frustrations include a problematic door that requires forceful closing, a messy top-mounted lint filter, and a quiet alert system that's hard to hear from other rooms. The build quality feels lighter and less substantial than expected, raising some durability concerns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No More Wrinkles [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our Whirlpool dryer is awesome! We decided to splurge and get the steam feature which I’ve already used several times. It is a quick way to get wrinkles out of clothes and sheets. This eliminates having to iron, which makes me very happy. The dryer is so much quieter than our old dryer. I always turn on the wrinkle out feature in case I forget to unload it right away. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure the science behind it but I no longer have sheet burritos when I dry my king size sheets in this dryer! Maybe it's the size or maybe it's the temperature but for this reason alone I am super pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the BEST upgrade [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The capacity of this dryer is INSANE. I am able to dry our california king sized comforters with no issues! I absolutely love the wrinkle control option that occasionally tumbles your laundry after the drying process is complete - I'm not always able to unload the dryer immediately, so this feature is extremely helpful in keeping my clothes wrinkle free while giving me time to finish my other tasks around the house. Another favorite of mine is the moisture sensor. With previous dryers, I've always had to check and re-check to make sure my laundry had dried completely, but there is no issue with that here. 10/10 would recommend this dryer & set to anyone looking for an upgrade. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Whirlpool brand and reputation. There is one looming problem in that with all of the years and history of designing appliances, I cannot believe the chintsey door latch. It is hard to latch, noisy to latch, hard to open the door and will most likely break within a short time under normal use because of the difficult latch and unlatch process.
Date published: 2026-03-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds Expectations [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer replaced a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer that I used for home and work laundry. Chose this model for combination dial and computer. Wanted a little more "old school" and less computer. I expected to loose many options that came with the Cabrio. Happy to say I still have all the great features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time and Energy Saver [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy with this dryer. It has the sense option so my clothes are getting dried quicker and there is no over drying. I am able to throw in wrinkled pants and use the steam option to get the wrinkles out. This dryer has saved me so much time and energy. It is a great product. Has options but not so many to be overwhelmed.
