Great microwave at a great price!
We had our old GE bisque microwave for 10 years before it broke. We were told the door latch was broken beyond repair so we purchased a new one almost identical from GE. Thank goodness GE is still making over-the-stove microwaves in bisque. Please don't discontinue this color. It's a great color.

Dependable, Quality Beand
We love our new microwave. Our son and grandson installed it, and it is perfect. It is very much like our previous microwave, and since we’re elderly, that’s a benefit. All the controls are in the same place, so we didn’t have to learn anything new to operate it. We have learned from experience that it’s better to buy quality appliances, and that’s another reason we stayed with the GE brand. Thank you.

I recently upgraded to the GE® 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven (Model #: JVM3160EFES), and I've got to say, it’s a fantastic choice for any kitchen. This microwave is not only sleek with its modern slate finish, but it’s also super functional.
The capacity is perfect for family-sized dishes, saving me loads of kitchen time because it heats everything evenly and quickly. The 1000 watts of power means it can handle just about anything I throw at it, from reheating leftovers to cooking meals. The preset options, like those for popcorn and potatoes, are incredibly handy.

is there a light and vent?
Yes, it does have both, but don't buy it's stop working for me in 16 months.
This microwave is not well built.

It's only 18 months old. My microwave stop working. As soon as I press start, my circuit breaker flips. A service guy came to check, he said switch has a problem and to repair it will cost $230. GE should fix it without out of pocket cost or just replace.
My microwave is still operating good. I think GE should fix it also.

Does this model have an outside vent option
No it is ductless it does not have a vent to be vented outside. But it does have a fan that circulates the air that you can turn on
Manually. Also when micro reaches a certain temperature it automatically turns on to cool it down

I just bought a new microwave, GE JVM3160DFCC. Will it fit on my old GE JVM1650CB006 brackets?
Probably not. We tried to use the old brackets and while they look similar they wouldn't work. Not sure now what model that was. It was a GE but about 9 years older
