Luckily my old microwave used the same template as the new one so no holes had to be drilled or modified to install, my only complaint with this unit was with the attaching screws which were a bit short and a course screw thread rather than the machine screws used by the old unit. I think the new screws might strip the cabinet more easily and may not penetrate deeply enough.

Where is the vent located ? is it self venting micro ? I'm replacing the one I have and the venting is above the microwave door on the top of the unit directly in the front where the seam of microwave door and actual unit are and are about an inch deep
