Installation was quick - took the installer less than 30 minutes. Capacity is the same as the previous microwave which was always adequate. Ours vents into the house. On this model the internal vent blows up across the front of the cabinet above it. This may, over time, cause moisture damage to the cabinet doors … have to wait and see. So far, very happy with the product.

Wondering if the mounting bracket I have now for my GE Spacemaker jvm1650sh will be the same as this model? Doesn&rsquo;t sound like it will from comments&nbsp;

I replaced an older GE Microwave with this GE model and the bracket footprint had indeed changed and needed replacing but it wasnt a big problem! More importantly the change meant that different holes had to be drilled in the overhead cabinet.and I would recommend that if an installer is doing the job to take care that holes are drilled BEFORE the microwave is put on its bracket or a ton of wood shavings will end up inside the interstices of the microwave as I discovered when needing service.

I must replace GE model JVM 1540SPSS. Does new one use same brackets for installation?

Bracket is very similar but mounting holes are off by a little bit I was very annoyed by this change and had to improvise exact replacement microwave and they had to change mounting holes was not happy by this

does this have a full bracket on the back or a top or bottom bracket? &nbsp;Just had a new micro delivered to find out i can't use a bottom bracket.

The microwave comes with a &quot;I_I&quot; type mounting bracket. it goes through the bottom and two sides (back of the microwave facing the wall) of the microwave. I hope that helps.
