[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second washer that was delivered to my house because the first washer would not operate as it should. The load would stop washing midway and the door would not open. We finally figured out to pull the cord and reinstall it into the outlet. Now the cause of this defect might have been caused by the dent on the right side of the unit. This side would be placed facing the wall so I didn't mind too much, however when the unit would not operate as it should have, I wanted a replacement, one in which i could rely on for good service. When the second washer came as a replacement, the handlers said that it was not working and that my electric lines or fusebox were the problem. I told him that there was nothing wrong with the electrical supply and he even accused me of having a faulty supply with the first washer and he told me to have the circuit checked out as he left. I looked in the back of the washer and found that he had not plugged it in. After I connected the washer to the power source the washer worked fine. Needless to say, I am not impressed with the delivery service and I would recommend that Whirlpool hire delivery people with a little more intelligence and not just grab people who just came across the southern Border. Not only were these people very rude but incapable of performing a simple task. I used to work in the toolroom at American Trim in Sidney Ohio and we never sent out panels to assembly with dents in the facia which were delivered to Whirlpool for assembly.

At the time there were five of us that our washer worked daily to keep all of our clothes clean. Through the years with our grown children moving in and out plus having grandchildren tagging along our old washer sometimes up to 8 humans clothes to keep clean. Well she finally decided to go home to her maker and after 22 years we put her to rest. Due to todays economy we now have a couple of our grown children and three of our grandchildren living with us again. It didn't take much thought on my part; after getting 22 years out of our now deceased front loader it was back to NFM. Momma wanted a larger capacity so we got the 5.0. Just the other day I heard her telling our daughter how happy she was with her new washer and that larger loads does make a huge difference. We will need to replace the dry sometime soon but for now he is doing a good job.

Don't hesitate to purchase this 5 cu ft front load machine with quick wash. It is VERY quiet and doesn't knot the clothes together since it is always mixing. I purchased the base as well. I didn't need for the storage but it is perfect height for loading, unloading. I thought about the 5 cu ft with the auto soap dispenser but thought another component that could fail. Putting in soap is not a big deal. The display is electronic. Don't delay BUY today! Make your clothes HAPPY!!
