Whirlpool 5.3 cu ft. Washer in volcano black
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got my washer a week ago today. So far it's been doing very well. The clothes have come out clean. The only thing I miss is an end of cycle buzzer and a timer showing how much time is left on the washing cycle. I washed my king sized bedspread and it came out wet so I had to drain and spin it. I'm not sure if it was how I loaded it or what. So far I love it. Hopefully whirlpool will live up to its name.

Quiet, Easy to Use, Efficient, and It Fits!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this washer a little over a week ago, adding a 5-year protection plan after much research of many brands and models, and replaced a 6-year-old Whirlpool top loading washer with agitator. More than 12 loads later I can say I'm quite pleased with my choice. My first concern was the height of the washer with the over-sized lid up, a tad more than 54 inches, which is exactly the distance from the floor to the bottom of my cabinets. Luckily, the washer sits out far enough from the wall and the lid stays open at less than a right angle so that is no longer an issue. Settings on the washer are varied and very easy to use, so much so that everyone in the family can do laundry without my assistance. However, as some have short arms (adults), it is a little challenging to reach the bottom of the wash tub. Despite my initial preference for an agitator, the impeller does a fine job of removing soil and stains (pretreated, of course) efficiently, quickly and quietly. What a difference from my last washer! My only wish is that the top of the washer was level when closed. Items, such as laundry or a basket slide off the washer and matching dryer when they are in use. Overall, I feel I made the best choice for my situation.

Fast cycles

The wash cycles are much faster than our old unit that ended up braking after having it for a little over 6 years. It was easy to install. Hopefully this washer lasts a long time for us. We are very happy with it, but since it's only been a week only time will tell.

Great for large loads
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've run several loads through the machine and so far so good, The controls are not quite as intuitive as my old Kenmore machine but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I do mis the time remaining display though. I like the medium and high water level options especially with the larger capacity of this washer. The whining sound the washer makes is a little different than what I'm used to but it doesn't take long to get used to it.

Perfect for the whole family

I love this washer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this washer saves a lot of water on the normal cycle. The way it rinses makes it easy on my septic tank.some reviews claimed you can not open lid once it starts not true. Just press the pause button, wait for it to stop and it unlocks. I've had no load balance issues. It does have limits, our heavy blankets did cause an lnbalance. Other than that no problems.
